    A lovely choice of venue for a family gathering with friends from the Netherlands. Great selection of a wide and varied menu, accompanied by some decent wines (and not too pricey). Very generous portions without being excessive or daunting in size. Also good to see some ’nibble’ options as well. A lovely dining room and attractive outside space for when the weather is decent. Highly recommend.

    I booked for Sunday lunch yesterday having not been to The Royal Oak for a number of years. What a pleasant surprise! We ate in the Orangery which has a beautiful ambience. I particularly liked that we were able to see the chefs cooking in the open kitchen. The food was amazing! I had the porchetta with all the trimmings..all cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the rhubarb and rose sundae..this was one of the best desserts I have ever tasted! The staff were attentive but not hovering. We will definitely be back

    As usual, the ambience and the food at The Royal Oak - Yattendon are excellent. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would return and recommend it to anyone.

    Excellent meal served quickly and politely. We were offered a table outside in the garden where we could sit with our dog in a lovely setting. Can’t fault service, food or ambience.
