As always, the food was superb. We were a little disappointed in the service. The Real Macaw is one of our top 3 favorites in Naples. We love the ambience, the food and usually the service. Last night was not the norm as far as service goes. We waited a long time to be acknowledged, the food order wasn’t put in, and requests were forgotten. It may have just been a difficult night for the server and he did offer complimentary dessert. It won’t deter us from coming back on a regular basis because it’s truly the only time in dozens of visits that the service suffered. Hopefully, this was just an off day for the server.

Had to send chowder back, sour taste Sauce on crab cake was extremely salty ( scraped it away) Disappointed because we took people who had never been there. We have been there several times

Great first experience, will definitely go again. Very pleasant, delicious food, friendly staff. Can’t wait to take friends there.

It was delicious food. Their sizzle menu had wonderful dishes and choices. Nice ambiance it gets loud there was a large party at another table. Overall good service.

I love this restaurant. It has three distinct areas to choose: casual near the bar, outside patio, and inside charm. The service and food were superior. Has a bit of a creole flair. I think its perfect for all occasions and won't disappoint!

The dinner on the Sizzle menu, was wonderful. The Jambalaya well prepared and served and the salad and gelato excellent. As always dining with you was a delight !

We really were hoping we would love this "hidden gem" as many reviewers called it. A little disappointing. Nice Key West atmosphere with many different seating options - inside and out. Hard to find entrance at night. Lots of puddles when it rains - which is often. Not the fault of the restaurant, obviously. The small dining room is very loud when full - as most restaurants are. It was almost as though our server didn't know we were here. However, the owner spent an inordinate amount of time with one table chatting away while other tables waited for service. Not sure what that was all about. Sizzle Dining menu listed monkfish which was one of the reasons we wanted to try The Real Macaw. However... we get there and the first thing our server, Desmond, tells us is there is no monkfish tonight and halibut is substituted. Not quite the same! The halibut piccata was delicious but it was still disappointing not to have monkfish. I get it - they want to serve only fresh fish and I'm guessing they couldn't get fresh monkfish. Duck Thai Noodles was salty and not the best. New England clam chowder good. Tuna Tartare excellent. Key Lime Pie was yummy. Chocolate gelato was pretty much just chocolate ice cream. With 2 drinks each and coffee the bill came to $180 and that's with the sizzle dining menu. Sadly, I don't think we'll be back. We really wanted to love it!
