Salmon & Halibut overcooked! Broccoli not cooked at all! The staff compensated us for a disappointing dinner. We did enjoy sitting on the deck by the river and their peanut butter pie was delicious!

Had a great experience at the Pump House. Our group of 4 sat on the Chena Riverside deck- beautiful views. Our server Elizabeth was knowledgeable, helpful and kept track of our table. My wife had the glazed salmon and enjoyed it. I had the blackened halibut on risotto with arugula, I thought it was terrific. Our friends had the broiled halibut and the elk and really liked their meals as well. Beautiful location, great meal. Look forward to returning.

Wonderful experience dining in! The service was prompt, recommendations were plentiful, and the clams were some of the best we’ve had in a very long time. Will definitely return and bring friends and family when they come to town to visit.

Actually loved almost everything about it ( it was our 2nd time for the brunch in 2 weeks with one of the same friends but also different friends that had never been). The only thing we were disappointed about was the mimosas. There was no bubbly in the champagne this time. Overall, food and variety was very nice.

After having three casual meals in three different restaurants in Fairbanks, we decided on a more formal dinner and opted for The Pump House. Reviews and videos we watched were generally favorable, so we decided to try it. We had a 5:45pm reservation and were seated promptly after arriving. Let’s start with the good: ambience—good; service from Victoria—excellent; wine—delish. The “world famous” seafood chowder was okay—a bit thick, if not clumpy, and overwhelmingly peppery. My husband’s blackened halibut was a bit overcooked and the accompanying risotto undercooked. The “broiled” tomato was refrigerator cold. I ordered the reindeer medallions; however, they have not been available for the past 6 months. They offered elk medallions as a substitute. Not sure where these elk medallions were cut from and, while generally tender and of good flavor, they did not cut well with the provided serrated knife. I was trying to find the grain to cut against but I found it almost impossible to do so. We are a bit disappointed that the most expensive meal in our visit to Fairbanks turned out to be a bit of a let down.

It was wonderful. Our 42nd anniversary. We are from Central Oregon and have been on vacation in Fairbanks for 2 1/2 weeks. It’s been great! The combination plate was perfect. Our waitress Christina was so kind. Friends even surprised with covering our meal. Perfect!

Loved the elk medallions and baked halibut both with seasonal veg. One with rice and the other with asparagus! Presentation of both was very appetizing and good! Thank you!

The place is historically interesting and in a lovely location. I was disappointed in the salmon. It was overcooked and dry, and not at all as pictured on the website. The service was good. Overall I an glad we went but don’t think I would go back.
