At first we were very warm but the staff were very accommodating with directing a fan at us. Turns out we were just extra warm from speed walking uphill as we were a little late for the reservation 🤣 That aside, the food was fantastic! I had the grilled Ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had especially with the chimichurri sauce on top! Our server was fantastic as well. They presented my GF with a free desert with a sparkler as it was her bday to our surprise! Outstanding first experience!

We ordered The Drill and in the words of my wife "Maybe the best thing I've ever tasted". Recommend getting the suggested wine pairings as well for a full experience.

Celebrated our 25th anniversary by having an amazing dining experience! Our waiter, Mick, was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious and servings were generous. We had a cozy table in a secluded alcove so ambient noise was low. It was a memorable evening. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant!

Inside of restaurant was impressive. Very old stone building with history. Fresh oysters were amazing! Waitress was average. Had Henry's Feast $190. Not worth the price, but allowed us to taste many things on menu. Filet, Nova Scotia lamb rack and scallops were very good. 1.5# lobster was not hot & slightly overgrilled, Halibut was overseasoned, but veggies (green beans, red peppers were cooked to perfection). The potatoes slightly undercooked. If I had to do over, fresh oysters FOR SURE!! And probably enjoy the view, history and head to somewhere else for Mains. Visiting Halifax and had to try.

Seating bench is uncomfortable and not senior friendly. Food was poorly cooked and was salty for the halibut entree. Had to ask for tobasco sauce to make up for the taste. Cutlery was taken away after appetizers but was not replaced until asked for..

EXCELLENT meal , food quality , presentation was 10 of 10 . Waiter was very good , helpful and sense of humour . Will definitely go back .
