Occupant une superbe maison de ville du XIXe siècle au cœur du Vieux carré français, à La Nouvelle Orléans, au coin de Bienville Street et d'Exchange Place, le restaurant The Pelican Club propose un large éventail de fabuleux plats de la Nouvelle Orléans, trois salles à manger et un grand bar. Le propriétaire Richard Hughes et son épouse Jean Stinnett-Hughes ont transformé un joyau architectural abandonné en un restaurant accueillant, décoré avec un mélange étonnant de touches traditionnelles et contemporaines. Chaque salle bénéficie de sa propre ambiance, agrémentée d'éléments aussi divers que du cyprès bruni de Louisiane, des peintures contemporaines d'artistes de la Nouvelle Orléans et des gravures anciennes. Vous admirerez le contraste frappant des banquettes en cuir noir contre les murs en brique de couleur crème. Avec une telle atmosphère, c'est une véritable expérience de la Nouvelle Orléans qui vous attend pour votre repas.

The food and service was top notch. We have dined here 4 times in the past. The hostess was rude and unprofessional. She tried to seat us next to the front door on a cold rainy night. When we asked to sit elsewhere she became irritated and rude. When we left after dinner we thanked her but she refused to make eye contact or acknowledge our thanks. She has to go.

Fantastic waitstaff. Very attentive to allergies. Seafood stew was good. Gulf fish was good too. Scallops were amazing.

Great location fantastic food and service. I've been to NO a dozen times but never ate there. Glad I did. Had the Quail and wife had the short ribs Terrific and price was extremely reasonable for FQ dinners. Only warnind would be main dinning room was loud but on the other side it was perfect. Celebrated my birthday in style. Oh and get the Chocolate Nigorni. You can't stop at one.

The Pelican Club was wonderful. There’s an extensive wine list as well as fun cocktails. I recommend “Cool Hand Cuke.” The service was efficient and very friendly, and the food was delicious. The noise level was a little high, but my companion and I could easily carry on a conversation without raising our voices. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was fine barring lack of wine knowledge. Food was sub par. Feel free to show up in jeans and hoodie. Fine enough overall.

Service and food - fantastic! There was a bit of table shuffling on our part - I’ll never understand why some restaurants want to seat you on top of other people - although it could be a way to make new friends - but then the bench seat was needing a booster cause it sunk down - so after our third table in five minutes - it was an absolutely lovely experience! Our waiter was super helpful and attentive. And such a lovely setting to enjoy a delicious meal. Thank you!!

We really enjoyed this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. They had many selections. We would definitely eat here again. Everything was fabulous.

The food was expensive and was mass produced. Not made to order. The server was great but given all the positive reviews I expected more from the food.
