Le Palm Court de l'emblématique Plaza Hotel a subi une rénovation complète chapeautée par le maître Architecte Thierry Despont. Le Palm Court présente des menus savoureux classiques américains du matin au soir, alors que Despont a su transporté l'esprit de Central Park à l'intérieur, créant une ambiance chaleureuse, intime et glamour. Le mobilier sur mesure offre une atmosphère détendue, et l'éclairage est bien adapté pour une réunion de déjeuner professionnel ou une soirée de cocktails conçus par le mixologue Brian Van Flandern. L'après-midi, le thé brille vraiment avec une vaisselle personnalisée de la Chine, une liste de thés avec la profondeur du monde, et bien sûr, un peu d'Eloise aussi. Le chef de pâtisserie Matthew Lambie crée des desserts uniques qui combinent sans effort les éléments classiques et modernes, tout en restant fidèle à la hauteur du Palm Court. L'élégante salle à manger est marquée avec un dôme de verre teinté d'une hauteur impressionnante ajoute une touche de vieux New York au sens moderne de l'hospitalité.

Extremely overpriced for kids frozen chicken tenders. My martini wasn’t even chilled. Pretty spot, but terrible food.

Kind of dark in there. Not The Palm Court I remember and $500 tea for two - the room empty - I think they could have been more generous in letting us sit and finish our food (1.5 hr limit). The bus staff literally picked up the tray with all our desserts and took it away. The waiter was fabulous and fun and made the moment. Excellent service. Probably won’t return. Better teas in NYC.

Overall great experience, but certainly paying for the name. Service overall good. Food not always as advertised on menu online if they run out of something.

Our server Ursula was the best! We were so lucky to have her. Her suggestions were spot on and we had a great time.

Over priced for what it is. Small menu to choose from and even though it was quite, we were seated away from the bar area

Tea tray and tea itself were both very good. I only wish there was a choice of a less expensive champagne or a prosecco option.

I have been to many Afternoon Teas over the past 2 decades. This was the worst on all counts, and ironically the most expensive. You’re paying for the name/reputation & nothing else. The sandwiches were stale and tasteless. The desserts were nothing special. The service was non existent. When tea was brought, the wrong tea was given to each person, and the teacup was chipped on the handle which cut my finger & easily could have snapped off. We were asked if we wanted “still or sparkling” water, and then charged $12 for a bottle of water when other tables were offered tap. I requested a bag to place some clothing items in as the paper bag I had with me had ripped. I was told no, that the bags were only for food & were too small for my items (untrue). We were asked at check in if we were celebrating anything & said yes. We were brought a mini “congratulations” cake akin to what you’d find in the to-go section of the grocery store at the same time as 3 other parties (holding the plates & dropping them off at each table). Didn’t feel particularly special. When paying, multiple checks were gathered from different tables all at once. Again, rude & led to credit card mix ups. Even the pen to sign was broken. Do not bother going here.
