Le Palm Court de l'emblématique Plaza Hotel a subi une rénovation complète chapeautée par le maître Architecte Thierry Despont. Le Palm Court présente des menus savoureux classiques américains du matin au soir, alors que Despont a su transporté l'esprit de Central Park à l'intérieur, créant une ambiance chaleureuse, intime et glamour. Le mobilier sur mesure offre une atmosphère détendue, et l'éclairage est bien adapté pour une réunion de déjeuner professionnel ou une soirée de cocktails conçus par le mixologue Brian Van Flandern. The offerings for afternoon were excellent despite a few we couldn't eat because of dietary restrictions.

I’ve been to tea at Palm Court many times. This was our first experience for dinner, and we were there on the early side of service. Service was very slow; my water ran out several times, and they brought my daughter her ice cream dessert without spoons, and when I asked the server for them, he responded twice, “I’ll tell your waiter.” Why couldn’t he just bring spoons himself? She ended up eating it with a fork. Most troubling of all is that the staff was wheeling kitchen equipment and stock through the dining room, right past our table, during our dinner. Tea trays, crates of cups, and a bag of dirty napkins were each pushed or dragged right by our table as we were trying to enjoy our dinner. It was disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber (with a corresponding price tag). The restaurant no longer maintains standards of apparel or decorum for its diners, either. It’s almost like they have given up.

I was expecting the best of the best and did not receive it. I'm from Pittsburgh and we have much better high teas there. The silver and plate wear was dirty. The serving dishes were run down and missing parts. The food is not great. Entirely too expensive for what it is. I firmly believe they are skating by an their name alone. Going home and making reservations locally.

Needed music for the tea. It didn’t feel special. Felt like we were seated in the lobby—needs more privacy and ambience music for a high tea. Service was great and tea/food, great.

Really nice experience for a special occasion. Food and service were outstanding. Overpriced, but we knew (and accepted) that going in. Beautiful setting.

Service was absolutely impeccable. Ambiance is first class and an experience in itself. The only thing I would change is having an in-between kid and adult selection of food. My 14- and 16-year old nieces are beyond the Eloise menu that caters to 12-year-olds and below, but not quite into smoked salmon and horseradish yet.
