Le Palm Court de l'emblématique Plaza Hotel a subi une rénovation complète chapeautée par le maître Architecte Thierry Despont. Le Palm Court présente des menus savoureux classiques américains du matin au soir, alors que Despont a su transporté l'esprit de Central Park à l'intérieur, créant une ambiance chaleureuse, intime et glamour. Le mobilier sur mesure offre une atmosphère détendue, et l'éclairage est bien adapté pour une réunion de déjeuner professionnel ou une soirée de cocktails conçus par le mixologue Brian Van Flandern. L'après-midi, le thé brille vraiment avec une vaisselle personnalisée de la Chine, une liste de thés avec la profondeur du monde, et bien sûr, un peu d'Eloise aussi. Le chef de pâtisserie Matthew Lambie crée des desserts uniques qui combinent sans effort les éléments classiques et modernes, tout en restant fidèle à la hauteur du Palm Court. The doorman was rude to us, some people were with shorts and inappropriate clothes. And the toilets were awful. Not coming again.

Every time we come to NYC we wanted to experience “the famous afternoon tea” at the plaza hotel. We come to NYC to celebrate my sister in laws birthday surprising her with a reservation. Unfortunately the service was horrible…we felt rushed, not care for, and then forgotten about at the end of service. Nearby tables had birthdays and they were celebrated and while we were being ignored and they did not acknowledge my sister’s in law birthday!! We hope you make changes because it very disappointing for future customers.

The Palm Court staff provided excellent service! The food was surprisingly filling, the tea was warm & flavorful, and the ambiance was relaxed and posh. Highly recommend the Palm Court afternoon tea for an iconic NYC experience.

Truly disappointed with my afternoon tea experience at The Plaza. We were greeted by the hostess with no smile or lack of enthusiasm. While I understand that being in hospitality is stressful, I would have appreciated more attentiveness and service especially the premium price for afternoon tea. We have no complaints about our server (Ursula) who was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to our dietary restrictions. Savory food items did not appear to be freshly made and I was appalled by the taste of baba ghanoush served on a soggy pita bread. Pastries lacked the creativity one would expect at the Plaza. I have now learned to curb my expectations and not trust a brand at face value. Also, let me add the fact that you have to walk a long distance to use restrooms which are conveniently located in the basement. I was shocked at the state of dated, dirty, and unkept restrooms. Highly overrated and overpriced for the value and lack of service. We will not be returning.
