Welcome to The North House! This historic property, once known as the Avon Old Farms Inn, is once again open to the public! Our menu showcases both traditional and nouveau New England cuisine by using only the freshest local and seasonal ingredients available. Each one of our dishes is hand designed by our talented chefs, and served by our knowledgeable and attentive servers.

The North House has several dining rooms that can be made private for any type of special function. Let our team of skilled coordinators handle all the details for your special events!

What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! We sat in a booth that allowed us to converse without repetition. The clam chowder and onion soup were delicious, and our scallops were the best! Service was top-notch. We will return!

This venue is amazing we look forward to visiting in cold weather to enjoy the fireplace! Food was good not excellent! The Brussel sprouts were amazing! My oysters a bit overwhelmed by fussy seasoning. In general they have gotten sloppy and need to tighten up their kitchen and presentation. Our server was great. My short rib was okay and my husband’s gnocchi were okay . We have found better food in the area at Millwright’s and The Charles.

Our server Matt was so accommodating, we have a family member with a dairy allergy and he brought out special non-butter brushed rolls for us - so sweet. We had a cozy table in the back dining room, the food was delicious & exceptional - another great experience at The North House!

Another excellent meal. Felt a tad rushed to keep us moving ( as compared to waitress being attentive) But otherwise great, We are semi-regulars and will continue to be.

The food was generally delicious from the bread to the main meal. Would highly recommend the pork belly tacos if they have them. They were delicious. Perfect crunch and tangy. I ordered the short rib which was melting on my fork and incredibly good. The desserts were underwhelming for how good everything else was. The rum cake wasn’t a very strong rum flavor if at all and nothing else was particularly outstanding compared to how amazing the food was. The servers are polite, funny and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a high end dining experience for a reasonable price.

It was the second time Matt served us. He was attentive, knowledgeable of wine & food and very friendly.

"Rare Steak" NOT Rare, French Fries Soggy, cheesecake obviously commercial. We brought out of town guest and were embarrassed by very poor quality. Disappointing🫣 we will Not return

To whom it may concern, We would like to apologize for the quality of steak that you had received, they should have been the correct temperature and we must have had a mix up in the kitchen, for that we apologize. In the 8 1/2 years we have been open, there has never once been a complaint about our fries being soggy, we will look into that further. As for the dessert, we have an in house pastry chef. I can assure you, nothing about our desserts are "commercial" and may just not have been what you were looking for. We did attempt to make things right and took care of a round of drinks and the dessert for you and hope that you will give us another chance as everyone has an off night. The food was incredible. The black bass special was one of the best dishes I’ve had recently. The menu has fun takes on classics, with high levels of execution. It’s a must try for anyone looking to break away from the normal “scared” menus that have become the Norm, post-Covid, yet also has something to suit diners of every palate. 10/10 recommend.
