Nizam, a shortened version of Nizam-ul-Mulk, meaning Administrator of the Realm, was the title of the native sovereigns of Hyderabad, India, from 1719 till 1948. By the middle of the 18th century, the scions, known as The Nizams, had quickly surpassed the Mughals ruling a vast dominion of about 125 million acres in south India. They were among the wealthiest people in the world and were fond patrons of literature, art, architecture, culture, jewelry, and rich food. Always,always delicious. Great service and tables were spaced wide enough apart that we could carry on a conversation without others hearing.

The food with all the spices, flavors, great taste and aroma are what bring us back every few weeks. Every choice is delicious! Of course the welcome we receive is always a delight. Vinod, Sam, Derek and all the others are so welcoming. We brought new friends this time and they are looking forward to returning. Try it and you’ll love it!!!

I cannot say enough about the Nizam's. We have been saying for years that we needed to try it, but we live further south and just never made it there. We have been missing out! It was superb.....our server, Ajay (sorry if I'm misspelling) was phenomenal. Every suggestion and description was on point and he seemed to know exactly what we would enjoy before we did. I've already told my husband that this is now my go-to for every special occasion....the kids will just have to get on-board! Seriously, don't wait, go now. We got the Tangri Kebab as an app....delicious! My husband had a medium spicy curry and I had butter chicken, although it has a different name. And don't miss the Kulfi!

The Nizam's is always a pleasure. The dining room is lovely, the service is impeccable, and the food is absolutely delicious. They take great care is getting the "heat" desired exactly right. The restaurant is BYOB, and they're very happy to accommodate your bottle. Consistently wonderful experience!

Food was great - service was pretty good too - please be aware that the restaurant was surprised that they were still offering reservations on OpenTable - we showed up with a reservation for 3 people made on OpenTable and the gentleman who greeted us when we arrived said “we don’t take reservations for 3 people but we know that OpenTable still offer invalid reservation which we actually stopped after COVID”. So OpenTable will let you make a reservation but the restaurant does not acknowledge that it has an OpenTable account.
