The Mayfair Chippy is a quintessentially British restaurant with an emphasis on great fish dishes, serving only the freshest produce to the highest standards.
Fish & Chips is the specialty, but we also serve traditional classic British dishes such as our famous Shepherd’s Pie and Steak & Kidney Pudding. To complement the fabulous food, we also offer a selection of world wines and retro cocktails.
Located in the heart of Mayfair our independent restaurant boasts 1 AA Rosette, we are also proud to appear in the Michelin Guide 2016.
We are open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner, with the addition of our new Weekend Brunch menu, not only can you stay, you can also take away.

The service was very bad. The service was incredibly slow. We waited for 1 hour for the food to arrive. And the food that arrived was cold. The staff was indifferent. The price-benefit ratio was very poor. It is definitely not worth the price paid!

En general está bueno, teníamos reservación y nos tuvieron afuera esperando, aún cuando había mesas disponibles, sin embargo ya adentro nos atendieron muy amables y sobre la comida teníamos expectativas muy altas, y estuvo muy rico pero nada espectacular.

Restaurant was really busy. Got seated 15m early. Was very glad I had booked as there was a long line of people waiting to get in. Fish was lovely plenty of chips served with it for £23. No interaction from the staff. Sat with dirty plates in front of us for about 15m before they got taken away. Gratuity included in the bill although it did say it was optional. Don't take cash and table next to the door was freezing. Wasn’t blown away and won’t visit again

We came early for our reservation , we were ushered in sharp 2.30PM as that was the time slot given upon making reservation . However we were disappointed , having to wait for our food nearly 40 -45 mins .

I visited The Mayfair Chippy recently. The food was pretty good; however the service is awful. My husband has a nut allergy, which was overlooked by several staff members (and mocked by one). We were then able to place an order; of which one of the sauces contained nuts (avoid the curry sauce if you have a nut allergy, it’s not marked on the menu!). We were literally about to be given our food; however, another member of staff spotted the allergy note on the order and stopped it being served…if it wasn’t for him; i dread to think what could have happened. I have emailed The Mayfair Chippy to escalate the issue; as I’d hate for this to happen to someone else but surprise surprise…no reply. I will be chasing this but just wanted to give anyone who suffers with a nut allergy the heads up. Such a big shame as the food was lovely; but the service and aftercare has been awful.

Eat here if you want great gluten free fish and chips! It's hard to find quality GF options when we travel, but the Mayfair Chippy nailed it. The staff was super efficient and friendly. Seating inside was tightly spaced, but still maintained a cozy feel. We'll be back next time we visit London.

A friend had recommended this place and I was really glad she did. Luckily we booked as the queues outside were quite long as so popular

Everything that Fish and Chips should be! Fish portion was about 10" x 3" x 1.5" thick. Batter was flaky and didn't overpower the fish (I had cod). Chips were just the way that I like them, crispy on the outside and not to soft on the inside. The oysters were very good. Larger than the Las Vegas ones that I normally have and smaller than the "mutant" oysters that I buy from the Chinese grocery store. A wonderful experience!!
