Our larger spaces are located in the upstairs portion of our restaurant, and our Wine Room is located on the main floor.

    The Local has been hosting graduates and their families for years, with a focus on style and comfort. Located in the heart of Belmont, and our expert team will make your celebration a night to remember. The cost is $65 per person before tax & gratuity. Our regular menu is not offered during graduation weekend. We require a credit card on file to hold your reservation. We will not charge anything to your card now, it's simply our way of holding your reservation. Cancellations after March 1st will result in a $20 per person fee to the credit card provided.     Good but not great! Service and ambiance were fine and our waiter was attentive and helpful. Short ribs were tender but tasteless and only luke warm. Rockfish was great but sticky rice was unaccountably sweet which clashed with the fish. Unclear why rice or rockfish required a sweet flavor.

    Pretty noisy, but good food. Came a bit early and were turned away with open tables. Came back 20 mins later and were seated at one the previously open tables 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The Local is an incredible slice of hometown cooking with an elevated flare. The simple and refined menu offers plenty for you to choose from. If the Fried Green Tomato Burrata Caprese appetizer is available (as it was on special when we went) you must try it. The Gnocchi Bolognese is a fitting fall dish that packs in a ton of flavor and warmth in a way you would expect from your grandmothers kitchen. the cocktails are light and refreshing, and exactly what you are looking for on a weeknight when you need to take the edge off. I am looking forward to coming back.

    The place is a dump. Zero ambiance, mediocre food, and should be razed. I would challenge the ratings integrity of Open Table. To use a well worn word - Fake. Somebody scammed this app

    The restaurant is in a very cool area of about half a dozen restaurants within 2 blocks. Service was excellent. We started with the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts and special mozzarella caprese salad. For entrees, we had the gnocchi, fettuccine, and pork chop. Food was good, not great. Would still recommend for a casual, well priced dinner.

    Everyone loved the food in my group. Singer songwriter event started as we were finishing up and that was a great surprise. We only left because some of us had to go to work the next day. It is a great place to hang out and relax. Our waitstaff, Stella, was great.

    My partner and I dined with a guest on a Sunday evening. Our first time back in awhile; prior visit featured a plate of steak and juices spilled on my partner.’s dress; no offer to pay for dry cleaning or comp her meal. This time service was perfunctory at best. Utensils provided on request only.’Brussels Sprouts appetizer were like rocks.’ My fried chicken was lukewarm, Mac and Cheese at room temp, with flavorful greens offset by bitter tough stems. Partner’s Pasta Bowl was ordinary with no offer of added cheese or pepper. Berry Cobbler was barely warm; sent back but replacement was no different. Only the Chocolate Pecan Pie was a keeper. Going to cross this place off our list until we hear of a new chef and more professional wait staff.
