With our cozy ambiance, and the introduction of contemporary cuisine, the perfect setting is arranged for a first date, business engagement or simply a gathering of friend.

We have coined the term “Contemporary Interactive Cuisine” as our concept at The Living Room. We define this as an expanded twist on classic French and Italian cuisine with a distinctive Canadian touch.

We feature a selection of appetizers that also follow our philosophy of interactive cuisine. Our staff are always eager to introduce food and wine parings, as exemplified with our five course menu suprisé prepared for you by Chef Kevin Hill.

By offering a diverse range of entrees and a daily fresh sheet featuring exceptional and unique meats and seafood, we strive to maintain our status as one of Calgary’s premier restaurants.

Ordered fondue for two. Food was excellent. Service was prompt. Noise level was excellent. Sat in Atrium which was cozy with two fireplaces.

My sister-in-law and I had a great time last night. I loved where we sat. It was my first time sitting outside at a cooler night with the cover on. It was very cosy. I did put in the reservation that it was my sister-in-law’s birthday and we were greeted almost right away with two glasses of champagne and a “happy birthday” which was really nice. Our server was awesome! He was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our food was so good. I always love the beef tartare, it’s my favourite. Unfortunately the wild mushroom linguine didn’t hit the mark. It was a bit bland and the pasta seemed sticky and a tad soft. Overall it was a lovely experience and I will be back! Thanks so much!

This was honestly one of the most INSULTING restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I’m not the type to leave a review but I was incredibly excited to bring my partner here for our anniversary, as I’ve always had a stellar experience at the living room but after the dining experience I had today, I had to express my distaste. Firstly we arrive at the restaurant for our 7 o clock reservation, for context, I requested a decent table a week prior when I booked our reservation, they tuck us in the back corner, in the tiniest table, facing another couple (very awkward) we then requested to switch tables as we were ordering the fondue and knew we’d need more space on the table, they refused our request and in sum told us to “suck it up we’ll make it work” secondly, the fondue comes, and the portion sizes were far from acceptable for the price. I paid $14 for an addition of tenderloin, they gave us 5 PIECES, for 14 dollars. What an insult. The waitress also refused to acknowledge me but happily acknowledged my partner, when I thanked her for serving our food she wouldn’t even look at me but happily acknowledged my boyfriend. Not great service, insulting portion sizes, save your money and go elsewhere. I’m SO disappointed to have had this experience as the living room has been one of my favourite date night locations for years.

Best fine dinning on 17th. It’s nice to find the up scale feel on the party street.

We love The Living Room. We went there for my birthday dinner for the fondue experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Neat atmosphere. Food was very average at best, and expensive for what you get. Overall disappointing experience.

Drinks were fast and accurate: Server was fun and knowledgable. Food was delicious, fast, and flavourful. One dish (salmon) was not as hot as others served but otherwise food was great.
