Pub, restaurant et bar, le The Lighterman vous accueille toute la journée et tous les jours, proposant du café ou déjeuner le matin aux cocktails en soirée, en passant par le dîner et le souper. Son menu servi toute la journée a été mis au point par le chef de cuisine Diego Cardoso et comporte une sélection de viandes grillées, aux côtés de grands classiques britanniques. La liste des boissons, très complète, inclut différentes bières pression ou en bouteille, des bières artisanales, des cocktails de saison ainsi qu'un vaste choix de vins soigneusement conservés aux tarifs abordables. De nombreuses places assises vous attendent en plein air. Le bar au bord du canal, avec sa terrasse, donne sur l'eau. Le rez-de-chaussée possède des tables directement installées sur Granary Square tandis que le dernier étage est entouré d'une terrasse offrant une vue panoramique sur la place et le canal.

We got sick! Had the tuna and was very sick that evening. Service was ok, trying to rush us lots but service was slow.

Great venue alongside the canal however the quality of food has been deteriorating over time. It's not bad in any way, just not as good as it once was. Nonetheless, a good place to catch up with friends.

The Lighterman is a decent 'gastropub' style bar - I have used it several times. The food is quirky; the flatbread was great - it's more or less a small pizza TBH. Service is mostly good but a little patchy, but it was quite busy and not really fair to be too crtitical. Great location.

My friends where crazy late but they let us have the table for longer than 2hrs which was cool

It took nearly 20 minutes just to get our drink order taken. Once our food order was taken, we found out half an hour later that half the items we ordered were out. Our medium steaks came out well done and rubbery. Dishwater from the bar splashed on us more than once at our table. Very disappointed.

The place looks good and great menu but what makes a place is the outstanding service .. the man who looked after us was amazing. Lovely wine and mussels and the trout salad was delicious

Great service was slightly late for booking was no problem, seated on a table inside. Not too busy, good attentive service. Food and wine was excellent, great choice and served quickly. Wasn’t rushed from table, thoroughly enjoyable dinner with friends. Would recommend
