Pub, restaurant et bar, le The Lighterman vous accueille toute la journée et tous les jours, proposant du café ou déjeuner le matin aux cocktails en soirée, en passant par le dîner et le souper. Son menu servi toute la journée a été mis au point par le chef de cuisine Diego Cardoso et comporte une sélection de viandes grillées, aux côtés de grands classiques britanniques. My friends where crazy late but they let us have the table for longer than 2hrs which was cool

It took nearly 20 minutes just to get our drink order taken. Once our food order was taken, we found out half an hour later that half the items we ordered were out. Our medium steaks came out well done and rubbery. Dishwater from the bar splashed on us more than once at our table. Very disappointed.

The place looks good and great menu but what makes a place is the outstanding service .. the man who looked after us was amazing. Lovely wine and mussels and the trout salad was delicious

Great service was slightly late for booking was no problem, seated on a table inside. Not too busy, good attentive service. Food and wine was excellent, great choice and served quickly. Wasn’t rushed from table, thoroughly enjoyable dinner with friends. Would recommend

We arrived on time. Sadly the table wasn't ready. We waited far too long for food In-between starter & main course. I didn't complain because it was a special birthday for my dad and I didn't want to ruin the occasion but to wait that long wasn't great. Other tables received their food before us! Lots of the things we wanted on the menu were sold out and we weren't told that when we were given our menus. Having said that the food was great. Just a shame we had to wait so long. 😔

Nice staff, food perfectly pleasant if served too fast (mains arrived when starter plates were being whisked away). But the building is just not appropriate for a restaurant/ bar. Every surface in the place is hard (it’s all steel and glass and hard wood) so when it’s full of people the noise just bounces around and you can’t talk across even a small table (maybe that’s why everyone seems to be shouting). And every time the front door opens a gust of icy wind is blown through the whole place, making people and food cold. The place would benefit from a thoughtful redesign- double door entrance to control the wind that blows, and some softer surfaces inside to control the noise. Otherwise, anyone over the age of 20 will not have a good time.

Lovely place, food was good. Very loud for conversation but we made it work. Service was not bad, but could have been better, especially as we sat down.
