The blackened chicken was not as good as hoped and the portion was quite small for the value.. other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

Between the New York steak and the Prime Rib, it is tough choice. I recommend the steak for the first visit and the prime rib for the next one. In this instance, my spouse and I chose one each. Both were done to perfection and the texture and taste were excellent. Very large portions which can be well handled with good and reasonably priced wine. A real treat.

Slow service once we got to our table and we felt ignored. Once a server showed up everything was fine but not a first class experience.

Requested a private booth for our 18th anniversary. They sat us next to a large empty table that quickly became a birthday party. Very nice server who certainly had nothing to do with the overall sub-par experience. Bread came, no flavour at all. No salt in the bread or the butter. Tried to add salt but the salt grinder was just crap. Something you’d see at a friend’s bbq. Appy’s next, good overall. I had escargot and it had flavour. Bring out the steaks! I ordered New York strip with a lobster tail. It arrives with no candle-lit garlic butter, but instead a little dish of melted garlic butter was just on my plate. The tail was not furling nicely atop the shell but rather squished into the shell which made it very hard to eat. It was a decent cook. My potatoes were dry and there was no butter given besides my now cold lobster butter. My carrots were so big I had to cut them with a steak knife. The green beans had a bad after taste. Our steaks were very poorly prepared. Over cooked, dry , strange “pork like” texture and colour. NOT A SINGLE SHRED OF SEASONING. Completely without any salt. No freshly ground pepper offered…our server “fixed” our crappy salt shaker but we still got very little flavour. They gave us a desert for our anniversary and it was great! Crème brûlée.. $200 for a decent appetizer, and a desert. The Keg used to be great. This restaurant in particular was the one we chose based on previous good experiences. We won’t return. My local pizza place makes a better steak for half the price.
