Service was great. We had a table of 10 and we were served in a timely manner. The food was delicious, as always. Our one issue was finding a place for our coats. Thankfully the restaurant wasn't packed so were able to put our coats at the next table.

I had not been to the keg in a few years and was looking forward to going there for dinner The quality of food has drastically declined. The mushroom fried rice was extremely dry and flavourless The largest amount of food on our plates where the mashed potatoes and rice. The vegetables were bland as well. The steaks were not prepared to the requested cook This made the price tag for the dinner painful Will not go back

Have lost my want for Keg. Food has become way to centralized arround mass production, steaks are burnt, sides are overcooked, kitchen can’t seam to keep up with pace and food sits too long. Servers fight over limited food entry computers…..waits are long. I watch closely, and see everything being a retired red seal. The Keg is in need of a serious reboot. It’s about food and customer service, not about how many you can get in and out the door.

All are good except the accompaniments eg the taste of mushroom rice, rice is too hard and didn’t expect that mushroom is mushroom, rice is rice, rice has no mushroom taste. No soul. And how come rice is put on the same plate of steak? Look so messy and food in food court.

Terrible expierence tonight. Christmas Eve!! I made the reservation back in October requesting lower level with a window “request” When we arrived we were told our table was upstairs with a side partial view on fort street if we wanted downstairs no view at all. So my 75 year old mother who goes in for hip replacement in January hailed herself in terrible pain upstairs!! Very disappointed. Considering we were one of the first seatings of the night 5:30 Reservation it should have been simple to switch tables!! Not happy at all.

Positive: Our server was excellent. She saved the evening for us. The negatives: Hostess attitude was disappointing. Where we were seated was a letdown (despite making a reservation well in advance with specific seating request and seeing a table that matched our request sitting vacant). Food - the food overall was ok but unimpressive and the cook on the steaks was off. One of our party ordered a medium rare steak. It was mostly rare, exception being the center that was BLUE RARE.

We were seated at Table 1 on the 2nd floor and while no view, the high top booth seating was very comfortable for 5. I much prefer this to the larger dining room surrounded by tables, movement and noise. We have a tradition of going to the Keg on Dec 24th and were not disappointed. Comet (?) our server, was friendly, fast and efficient. Kudos to him.

The restaurant was very busy but the staff had it under control. Upscale yet approachable atmosphere. They offer a cozy modern vibe with dim lighting. Both my wife and I ordered our sirloin steak medium well. Mine was past well done and hers was rare/medium rare. The steaks should be the star of the show and coked to perfection. This was a miss this time, however we still enjoyed our dinner. Twice baked baked potatoes we wonderful. Devon our server was professional, friendly and attentive. He had great knowledge of the menu and made some nice recommendations. Well on the pricier side it was still a good value for the quality of food they offer. Overall it was a great dinning experience and we will be back for more delicious food. Thanks!

A very average experience. I made the reservation about 2 weeks in advance via open table and then called in to request a a nice table with a view as it was our 40th anniversary. (Our tradition is the Keg every anniversary and we have made it about 35 times over the years as well as many other times throughout the year at various locations across Canada). The table we were given was very average, your location lacks ambiance - could use candles on tables - a bit less light. My wife could see into the kitchen through a glass wall/wine cellar and observed cooks without hair nets. Our steaks were cooked incorrectly .. my wife's overdone and my slightly under. Appetizers were just warm but ok and of course bread was on point - hard to get wrong. Our waitress was very good ... front reception was not very welcoming. All in all ... very average and disappointing for such a special occasion - we were in Victoria for the weekend from Edmonton.
