The food was great, the server was on top of it! I did feel, however, that we waited longer than we would’ve liked for our main meal. There was 10 of us so I understand it was a big party. Nonetheless, the keg never disappoints! Everyone had a great time. Thank you for helping me celebrate my 53rd birthday!

Disappointing Experience at Keg Alberni We’ve been regular patrons of Keg at Yaletown, where both the food and service are always fantastic. However, our recent visit to Keg at Alberni was incredibly disappointing. First, the service was subpar. We specifically asked for house wine during happy hour, and despite the table being filled with happy hour menus, our server, Enya, charged us regular prices. When we questioned it, she claimed they don’t serve happy hour at our table, even though we had ordered from the happy hour menu. This was confusing and frustrating. Secondly, the food left much to be desired. We ordered medium striploin, but the steak was overcooked, dry, and rubbery—completely lacking flavor, and no sauce was served with it to improve the taste. Additionally, we requested our baked potatoes with the toppings on the side, but they were served mushed together. For a table of five, this was one of the most underwhelming dining experiences we’ve had. The overall quality, both in food and service, was far below what we’ve come to expect from Keg.

my steak wasn't the cook the best....was a little over done - waitress never came back to check how our mains were.. also, never once received a refill on my water or the entire table for water... service was less than par imo

Stellar service. Fiona was amazing. The food is always good, the keg has built their reputation on the reliability of that.

Our waiter was very nice and the patio was really pleasant. The food was average - we had steak and both the filet and NY strip were prepared as ordered but my NY strip was tough. The side was carrots and green beans. The carrots were al dente, so much so that it was hard to spear them with a fork or cut them with a steak knife. But the worst was finding a hair in our side of Brussels sprouts. Our waiter offered to replace them but we were halfway through with our dinner when it was discovered, so we said no. I was disappointed that the maitre’d did not come to our table to apologize, though he did visit the table next to us when the customer’s steak was not served with the right toppings. 🙄 we did appreciate a complimentary dessert to acknowledge our anniversary. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner. It’s better for drinks and more casual dining.

We arrived to the restaurant for our 5 PM reservation, we waited 15 min, then were told our table would not be ready until 5:30 due to a server not arriving. We were invited to the bar, but two other tables were sat yet no communication to us about the wait. A little disappoint in the attitude by the hostess to us, lack of communication, if your short staffed tell us we will understand. I was made to feel uncomfortable and a nuisance. Once we sat down the service and food was excellent.
