    The service was excellent and very pleasant. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions with a smile. The food was excellent, well prepared and presentation was amazing.

    Dinner at The House of William and Merry was part of a birthday gift for my wife from our kids. They couldn’t have picked a better spot! Service from Emma was excellent and the food even better. We plan on returning when we are in that area again!

    Everyone there is truly amazing. We arrived to find our usual table had just been vacated. They cleaned and reset it in just a couple of minutes so we could sit ther. John, the sole waiter, handles every table flawlessly. He's efficient, personable, and a real asset to the restaurant. And the food is superb. Hamachi tartare was perfect. The cheese plate was nicely arranged, but the single type of cheese wasn't terribly interesting. My fault; I prefer a more pungent cheese. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and came with a lovely sauce, Brussels sprouts and mash. Alaskan sablefish was beyond excellent, skin crackly and inside moist and delicious. It was accompanied by purple sweet potatoes and a heaveny sauce. Even the creme brulee was great, with hints of mango and passion fruit. And the chocolate truffle was divine. Bar service is excellent. I would only wish for an expanded wine list, especially by the glass as we often want different wines to accompany our meal. All in all, we love William & Merry.

    This is a superb restaurant. Excellent food and service. Staff is well-versed in serving customers in a timely way—they know how to pace delivery of entrees after appetizers and are sensitive to customer’s expectations

    Can’t wait to go back. Pork belly and scallops were the winners of the night but everything was delicious. The menu changes seasonally so we’re excited to go back for more autumnal tastes. Plus, the service was fabulous - everyone was so friendly and helpful!

    House of William & Merry never disappoints. This is the BEST restaurant in Northern Delaware by far!!! The owners/chef are dedicated to putting out only the highest quality dishes, presented in an artful way. You will get exclusive, decadent ingredients, particularly from the specials menu. We enjoyed the hamachi tartare with a plum dressing that was incredible. The potato terrine was also scrumptious. The halibut entree special was cooked to perfection and I ate every bit. My friend had the deckle steak and loved the fresh truffle, tenderness of the steak and the crispy potatoes! Don't forget to try one of the bar's amazingly crafted martinis or Merry's family's wines! You will not be disappointed by this noteworthy restaurant.

    I’ve been here a handful of times and every time it’s amazing, they do such a great job, and I love to leave positive reviews about this place because it’s just a fantastic gem. Only negative comment for giving four stars instead of five on the food this time was because the halibut was a tad oversalted. Delicious otherwise.
