New England's only Scottish Restaurant and Bar in the historic Haffenreffer brewery complex in Jamaica Plain, (relocated in 2022 - after originally opening in 2010).
We now provide expanded menu offerings, multiple weekly events and a fantastic cocktail and single malt program in a beautiful award-winning designed space. There's a tasteful nod to Scotland and a sense of comfort throughout the new larger space. You have plenty of choice as to where you enjoy your night, next to the bustling bar or in a cozy corner in the snug or outside on the patio.
Whether it's the famous Burger, Haggis or sumptuous dessert, you find something for everyone at The Haven.

                        I went here for a birthday party. We were treated wonderfully. The scotch eggs, full scotch, smoked fish cakes, a brunch burger and some lovely whisky (with out the "e"). Thank you for a lovely day ona hard weekend.

                        The food was delicious. We had fish cakes with poached egg , hollandaise sauce and salad. Really good food. Best restaurant for Scottish food in New England.

                        Food and service was excellent, we were tucked around the corner that is technically next to the front door and the cold breeze made my wife really cold for most of the meal. Otherwise, like I said, everything was excellent.

                        Parking was easy to find in lot. Decor is warm, and barlike. renovayed bottom floor of office building, so not a cookie cutter lay out, and creates characternin eachnareanofnthe restaurant. Only drawback is the bathrooms are in the dingy hallway just outside restairant, and not very clean. decor is teriffic. lots of things to look at. Server was outstanding. She had knowledge of the menu and the culture, and her timing was perfect. Coild not ask for better. Appetizers were excellent. Mybwife ordered the scottish egg (baiscally a battered hard-boiled egg) with greens and a sauce bed. Shenloved it. I had a scottish sausage, basically a juicy, well cooked sausage in a flaky blanket on a bed of mustard and a sude of greens (salad). Was superb. Wife ordered the shepherds pie with lamb meat. she liked it, bit lacked much flavor on the meat and not a lot of lamb meat in thw pie. I ordered the Haggis, a traditional scottish house made meatbstuffed casing on a bed of tatties (mashed potato) and neeps (mashed turnips. And medley of carrots, min corns, and other sauted vegetables. The neeps, tatties and vegetables were outstanding. perfectly cooked. The Haggis was quite bland. server brought scottish sauce whichni didnnt think complimented the dish. i had to put a lott of black pepper on it to give it flavor. The casing is open on the ends, so the chopped meat inside is quite dry. I suggest add a little black pepper to the meat while cooking to add a little flavor, though scottish food is generally bland. But this was quite bland. the moisture of the veggies i was told suppose to make up for the dry, bland taste and texture of the meat. Still, i think it needs something pepper-like to bring it to an american palate. Desert was excellent. wife and i split a scottish cake with ice cream. perfect to split. there were plenty of american comfort foods for those seeking that.

                        Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Upscale but not pretentious Scottish cuisine! “It’s a vibe!” Service, food, ambience all 10/10! The owner himself is a fantastic ambassador for his culture, kind, fun and a friend to all. Can’t wait to go back!
