Le Grill est situé au Forty 1°, quai du Nord. Le restaurant offre une expérience culinaire haut de gamme tout en fraîcheur. Ce havre permet un répit unique et serein de l'animation qui a lieu dans le front de mer de Newport. À un pas de la rue, on se sent toutefois dans un monde à part. Le menu propose des grillades et fruits de mer, un bar brut ainsi que légumes de saison cultivés localement. Il y a une salle à manger extérieure qui surplombe le port de Newport, qui est situé à côté du Pavilion Bar, côté quai. Le salon accueillant avec des sièges faisant face au quai crée un cadre idéal pour se détendre et discuter, un cocktail à la main. The Grill du Forty 1 ° Nord est ouvert au public.

First time in newport and this restaurant was an excellent choice for dinner on the water. All the staff were attentive and really made the night special, the food was delicious!

Me and my friend came to try the restaurant week menu, Food was outstanding, portions were great for the prise. srdan was our server, best service he’s always on top of everything. Thank you srdan for making our lunch a perfect experience.

I’ve been here before and loved my experience. This time, not so much. We had a 7:30 reservation and weren’t seated until 30+ minutes after our reservation time. It was extremely loud, no music or real enjoyable ambience. You could tell staff were frazzled, unprepared, and service was lacking. Food was okay but compared to past dining experience, would have expected better even with it being restaurant week. No apology for the long wait despite our reservation. Tables were crowded and in my opinion, too many people/tables squeezed into small area. Had to yell to speak to people at my table and it was hard not to overhear others’ convos due to such close proximity. Very overstimulating experience.

It was restaurant week in Newport. The portions were very small as compared to the price of the meals. With that said, the food was good. I thought the wine was also overpriced at $18 a glass for a house Cabernet.

We dined there for restaurant week. I thought the selections were great and the food was tasty. The service was a bit slow but the restaurant is beautiful. My only real complaint was the volume…it was pretty loud in there and I occasionally had trouble hearing what my husband was saying. Overall a nice dining experience though.

Great food. Service is 'team style' so the food came out quickly, but then finding someone to give us our check took a while. They have a cool wine pairing program on Wednesdays. We were there after the sun set, but I am sure it is a great view during the day.

I always sit with Srdan. He always gives the best service and recommendations. The French Onion soup was amazing so I am happy to hear it may make it on the new menu. Steak was cooked to perfection, sauce was great too. I look forward to next time!

We are within walking distance of Forty 1 North and dine in town all year round. This most recent dining experience was a huge disappointment. It happened to be restaurant week. When we were seated we were informed that our table of 4 had to all order from either the restaurant week menu or the regular menu, no mixing. Having lived here for years that was a first for us. We chose the restaurant menu (although it would have been a mix had that been an option). When dinner arrived , 2 hours after we were seated, the small size of the NY Strip was questioned with our waitress. Her comment was “it’s restaurant week and the size reflects the price”. For a customer expecting dinner that’s just insulting and down right, wrong! The steak portion was probably 6-7 ounces of thin NY Strip, hardly a dinner portion and certainly not what we expect at 41 North! After we finished dinner there were 3 occupied tables including ours. It took 30 minutes, and us having to ask, to get our dirty plates cleared. All around us, tables with no one at them were getting cleared yet no one noticed we were sitting there in the middle of room with empty plates in front of us?? At that point we were asked if we wanted another drink. A bit too late for that! For food, we all had the Caesar salad. Nothing special but way too much dressing and sloppily thrown on a plate. Two of us had the scallops which were wonderful! Dessert was also very good especially with the tiny sorbet that accompanied it. We didn’t ask for much besides water and a drink that never appeared. We brought new local friends with us to experience a nice dinner and unfortunately that’s not what happened. We couldn’t care less if it’s restaurant week or not but obviously 41 North has something against supporting the spirit of the event. If you can’t do it right, don’t take it out on the customer.
