Le restaurant Grain House se situe à Basking Ridge, dans le New Jersey, sur un parc de plusieurs hectares appartenant au groupe Olde Mill Inn. A l’origine, dans les années 1760, le bâtiment servait de grange et avait vocation à stocker le blé pour les soldats de la révolution américaine. Il a ensuite été délocalisé jusqu’à son emplacement actuel, puis transformé en restaurant dans les années 1930. Aujourd’hui, The Grain House est un restaurant très réputé dans tout le nord et le centre du New Jersey. Vous y serez reçu dans un cadre tout confort et dans une ambiance décontractée. La carte vous propose de tester toutes les différentes facettes de la cuisine américaine, en passant du traditionnel au contemporain, toujours avec une grande dose d’innovation. Certains plats comportent une petite touche internationale. La cuisine du restaurant est sous la direction du chef exécutif Luca Carvello. De succulents desserts faits maison et renouvelés régulièrement dans l’année, viendront conclure en beauté votre repas. L’établissement dispose d’une terrasse extérieure, ainsi que d’un coin cheminée, où vous pourrez vous installer pour souper, selon la saison. Le dîner et le souper sont servis quotidiennement, alors qu’un brunch spécial vous est proposé chaque samedi de 11h à 16h, et chaque dimanche de 10h à 14h. A cette occasion, vous pourrez profiter d’un superbe buffet aussi généreux que varié.

Private social and corporate events of various sizes and types may be booked in several unique private spaces within the building. These include weddings, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, retirement parties, class reunions, school functions, memorials, and nearly any type of private event. Corporate meeting spaces are also available. All of the private spaces open out to a private deck or patio. The Hunt Room has a rustic decor with a private pub and dance floor, and features a private entrance. The seasonally tented Hunt Patio is also available for social and corporate events; it is surrounded by rolling lawns and flower gardens with a gazebo.

I meet up with some friends that live an hour away in different directions. The location of The Grain House is just perfect for all of us...just off Route 287 easy access and loads of parking! That being said we enjoy the atmosphere with the cozy fireplace in winter and outside dining in the summer. Food is always excellent....and upscale even if its just lunch. There is always something a little different which certainly adds to the overall enjoyment. Also the fact we can get a glass of wine is a bonus. Wait staff have always been attentive and service great!

Been wanting to try this place for a few years now and it did not disappoint! Perfect vibe for a cozy meal - food was delicious, cocktails were perfect, and our server was fantastic ☺️

Very expensive for a basic menu. Many open tables in the cozier pub area however we were told we couldn’t sit there due to other reservations. Tables still open when we left. Did I mention how expensive it is???

Love The Grain House! I’ve been going there for over 35 years. Excellent food, service and ambience. Very consistent and reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We all ordered burgers and they were served exactly as ordered. I highly recommend The Grain House!
