My first time here and walking in it was such a lovely ambiance, staff friendly, food was simply superb and will definitely be back

Excellent food, seasonal and locally sourced with a creative approach to traditional dishes. Refined flavours but in no way over the top. Decent sized portions neither too big nor too small, left after 3.5 courses [shared the dessert!] feeling pleasantly full and not lethargic. Staff who care about the food and farmers as well as their guest’s experience. Lovely elegant space with art on the walls, but not at all pretentious with solid wood tables and stone flagged floor. Airy in the summer and cosy in the winter. Off street parking. Came with family but the Dysart would also suit a work meal, a date or a friend’s get together.

As a longterm visitor it just gets better and better. Flower strewn fish in champagne just exquisite.

Located in a standard loan Tudor facade two storey building with ample parking behind and two parking to the side. Interior of modern with Tudor frilled windows , stone floors, carpets, woooden table and rattan chairs with cushions- Could be made more comfortable with back cushions. Nice light in summer- not too warm. Amouse of Parmesan shortbread with grapefruit was rather sweet- it could have been an petit four. The bread was good- focaccia with a toasted crispy top. Very nice The charred bream was average with a nice miso and kaffir consommé, that was very nice. The ox tail risotto was shredded meat in a 7 year old rice - the meat was nice, rich with a blend risotto so it worked well as a mix. The mains for Cornish turbot was excellent- nice fresh with an amazing shellfish broth that tasted almost like lobster bisque. The farm duck dish was rather average - the meat was average. Didn’t find much excitement of flavour to it. The desert of rhubarb with strawberry and hibiscus was very nice . The sesame seed tuile was too intense and clashed with the fruits. The chocolate fave was excellent. Service was very attentive. 4/5 for the food and 5/5 for the ambience and service.

We had the tasting menu with the premium wine pairing and the optional cheese course. We were celebrating an occasion which our server remembered and mentioned. The courses were unique, well sequenced and full of interesting flavours. The pairing were excellent and were explained throughly. Would highly recommend visiting!!

This was a gift experience and I do thoroughly appreciate the effort gone into the dishes but for me personally I wasn’t wow-ed with the flavours and portions for the price. However the house is stunning and the staff and service friendly
