Inspired by the grand cafés of Mittel-Europe, The Delaunay is an all-day café-restaurant located near Covent Garden on the corner of Aldwych & Drury Lane. Offering a varied selection of classic European food, it is open early for breakfast through to lunch, afternoon tea and dinner – two Private Dining Rooms are also available and well suited to all manner of events. Located in the heart of London’s theatre-land, The Delaunay is perfectly placed for enjoying a meal before or after a nearby performance – a number of ‘Dinner & Show’ packages with nearby theatres are also offered throughout the year. Open from early until late, seven days a week, reservations are recommended but tables are always available on a first come, first served basis.

Available all day, The Delaunay Prix-Fixe Menu is an ideal option for those after a quick pre- or post-theatre dinner. This set menu is two courses for £29.75 and three courses for £34.75. With a variety of dishes inspired by the grand café tradition of Central Europe, the Prix-Fixe menu has something for everyone.

Located in the heart of London’s Theatreland, The Delaunay is perfectly placed for a pre-theatre supper, and our ‘Full Haus’ menu is just the ticket, with 3 courses and a drink for £29.50. The 3-course set menu has been created with all our signature European flair, featuring some of our most popular dishes, such as our Soufflé Swiss and Grilled Spatchcock Chicken. Included in the offer is a glass of house wine, beer, or soft drink. The Full Haus is available Monday – Friday 4:30pm-6pm.

Think classic finger sandwiches, delicate bakes and traditional scones served in style and set to become a cherished weekend ritual. Afternoon tea at The Delaunay is available on Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm-5pm; £34.50 per person; £49.50 including Champagne ‘Please note, we require at least 24 hours notice of any dietary requirements before the date of your booking, to ensure we can accommodate you’

A food oasis in the West End where traditional quality and service still exists. It is a pleasure to meet with friends and family in such a pleasant venue.

Food was delicious as usual; service was quick, essential for a pre-theatre dinner. Ambience provided a pleasant experience and noise levels allowed for easy conversation across a table. Will return!

Sea bass was amazing, as was the Kale and squash salad starter. Never disappoints.

For a night where you want to find yourself in a white tablecloth European old time classic ambience right in the middle of London. but without giving up the quality of food and service - you can’t go wrong! And I was taking my early 20s kids out and they loved it! Excellent cocktails! Brows choice of very well executed dishes from tartare to beefstroganoff to canard - excellent deserts!

Great atmosphere - very classy. We had a fab table in the middle of the room but with a booth behind us so we had the best of both worlds. All of us enjoyed our food except for my sister who ordered the New York hotdog - we all had a good laugh at it as it looked exactly what it said it was. However, the taste wasn't good, supposedly. One portion of fries was tepid, the other was forgotten and had to be requested again. But, despite these minor issues, we had a fab time due to the great atmosphere.

Nice ambience. Great location. Food was exceptional. Would have been pretty reasonable if we hadn’t bought two glasses of nice champagne - but it was a birthday!

The Delaunay is always reliable. Tasty food, attentive service and decent wine list. It’s always noisy and busy, which is part of the experience.
