Inspired by the grand cafés of Mittel-Europe, The Delaunay is an all-day café-restaurant located near Covent Garden on the corner of Aldwych & Drury Lane. Offering a varied selection of classic European food, it is open early for breakfast through to lunch, afternoon tea and dinner – two Private Dining Rooms are also available and well suited to all manner of events. Located in the heart of London’s theatre-land, The Delaunay is perfectly placed for enjoying a meal before or after a nearby performance – a number of ‘Dinner & Show’ packages with nearby theatres are also offered throughout the year. Open from early until late, seven days a week, reservations are recommended but tables are always available on a first come, first served basis.

Beautiful restaurant. Fantastic, service and food. I have been many times with friends and family and always had a great time.

Not up to the usual standard. Ambience was great but the food let it down.

The Delaunay remains a special place to eat, the ambience is good, so is the food and the waiting staff are always helpful and welcoming. However, the prices are starting to get a bit silly. I've just come back from Zurich, which is famous for being outrageously expensive, but The Delaunay would now give most places a run for their money in terms of pricing. My fear is that it will increasingly become a wealthy tourist and expense account place. (so I'm ticking the box that I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, because most of my friends couldn't afford it - this was not the case in the past)

Service was attentive when we arrived, but trying to attract servers for a second coffee, or to request the bill was impossible. Studiously ignored as they bustled passed. And a side of smoked salmon was both expensive and ridiculously small - one small piece of salmon for £9. That’s a rip off and spoilt my otherwise ok experience.

This restaurant isn’t what it used to to be. The Sunday roast wasn’t great. Smaller portions and an increased price. Not great

Such a lovely restaurant! The service was perfection and the food, lemon sole was wonderful! The noise level was a bit loud…we were seated near a family with small children. Delightful! Would highly recommend!
