Welcome to The Crown at Burchetts Green.

My aim has always been to offer beautiful food in an authentic English pub. Dishes that are heart-warming, seasonal, and packed with flavor. All I wanted was for our guests to return home happy and contented! This aim established our reputation and remains firmly in place today.

At The Crown, our hospitality will be based on exactly these principles - seasoned, I hope, with a pinch of added ambition in the kitchen. And on the floor front-of-house, you will be greeted and looked after by Amber Flint and her team.
We look forward to welcoming you and cooking for you very soon.

The menu options made selection a bit of a challenge. All choices made by our party of 4 were very good. Service was friendly and never OTT. Given it was a Friday evening it seemed very short on diners, which led to the atmosphere/environment being less than ideal. Difficult to understand the lack of custom given the quality of food and friendly service.

A perfect lunch executed and served by absolute professionals. A lovely warm welcome when we arrived set the tone for a very well paced relaxing lunch. The floor team were charming and polite and knew their trade well and of course the food was spot on as one would expect from the experienced hands at the helm. The quality of ingredients shines through in every dish and each course crafted to just the right level without being overly fussy. The warm and intimate dining room would make a superb evening date as well I’ve no doubt. Highly recommended, this place needs to be tried, appreciated and returned to regularly.

First visit to The Crown under new chef-patron Dom Chapman and it was excellent! Nice menu, with an interesting variety of dishes over all courses. Our food was amazing and we couldn’t fault the service. Good atmosphere, if a little quiet on the day we went (Thurs). Looks like they have lots of “events” and are really trying to connect with their client base. Thanks for a lovely evening.

An excellent venue for lunch. The ‘Village Menu’ offered a simple but good choice and was great value. Excellent service throughout our lunchtime visit.

The food was definitely a step up from the usual pre-prepared pub fare. Sadly one of the Village main course options was sold out and we were informed about this when we were due to order. The lunch 2 or 3 course option would be reasonable value, though you have to factor in any extras, such as mash or vegetables. Good Rebellion draft beer. Small rooms so the tables can feel a little cramped. Service was friendly and professional.

Really interesting menu with plenty of choices throughout. One of our party is coeliac and was extremely well catered for with snacks, starters, mains and puddings all explained. They also had their own GF bread so felt included at every stage. No one drank wine but all enjoyed the beers, ciders, gins and non alcoholic bar offerings. The food was well presented and so well seasoned that nobody reached for the salt or pepper. Special mention to the snack scotch egg and rabbit lasagne. Service was attentive and well timed, but not fussy. It was a pity that being a Tuesday evening it was very quiet, The Crown deserves to be much more busy.

If I could have given it 10 stars I would have done. We came a few years ago before the current owner and did not have a great experience but drive past it frequently. Wow the food is exceptional and the minute you arrive the staff treat you like old friends. Thank you Amber and Evie we absolutely loved it and will be back.
