Welcome to The Crown at Burchetts Green.

My aim has always been to offer beautiful food in an authentic English pub. Dishes that are heart-warming, seasonal, and packed with flavor. All I wanted was for our guests to return home happy and contented! This aim established our reputation and remains firmly in place today.

At The Crown, our hospitality will be based on exactly these principles - seasoned, I hope, with a pinch of added ambition in the kitchen. And on the floor front-of-house, you will be greeted and looked after by Amber Flint and her team.

A warm welcome and a nice atmosphere.. The menu and wine list was very good with something for everyone. The service was unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. The food and wine were excellent. One of our gushes was little disappointed with her meat pie but everyone else found the food to be excellent

This was a family meal to celebrate a birthday. The food, service and general ambiance was outstanding - especially the food. It was very good that during the evening the chef-patron came into the dining room and talked to guests, we were thus able to express our appreciation direct. This is a small county inn with relatively low ceilings which had the result of sound levels were sometimes rather too high, especially if other gusts have loud voices. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend The Crown as an excellent place to have a special meal, if the occasion does not warrant 'fine dining' then there is a 'village menu' which has rather more typical 'pub food'. Ten out of ten for Dominic and his team.

Beautiful small, period building. This created an intimate dining experience. Service had that perfect balance of being timely, and well judged. The menu was focused on seasonality and was obviously chosen well. The dishes were beautifully presented and had excellent flavour and texture. Portion sizes were well considered. Thoroughly recommend the Crown and we will be back ourselves!

Starters excellent, mains disappointing, particularly the beef goulash pie. Complaint about the mains was not dealt with in a satisfactory manner.

Had a delightful lunch at this super inn-restaurant. We chose from the village menu which is a prix-fixe and enjoyed it very much. The food and service was first class and we shall return!

The service and food were excellent, fantastic recommendations, especially the black muscat to go with the blue cheese. Although all the food was superb the stand-out dish was the Rabbit Lasagne, one of my favourite plates of food ever.
