'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,
has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to the
Thames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toast
spread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered them
again when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all the
trimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast should
have. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

We went there to try the traditional Sunday roast We were shocked by the food quality was poor The food portion was so small as well as the food temperature was cold and not as expected to be Nether the less it was extremely expensive and menus was not including Sunday roast online So disappointed 😞

We had a wonderful time with great service! It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit waterside.

Despite making a reservation on Open Table, they didn’t have a table for us so we were left on our own to find a place in the garden with only limited menu and bar service. Soft shell crab sandwich was barely edible.

Hi Benne2ja, Unfortunately, we do not reserve any tables on the terraces as they are exclusively first come first serve. The tables we do reserve are inside our dining room, which is what you had booked through opentable. Yesterday it was forecast to rain between midday and 1pm so we did not open the terraces up until 1:30pm which is why you were unable to get a table on the terrace. However, we offered you the table you booked inside the dining room, from which you would have been able to order off the a la carte. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the soft shell crab burger, would you be able to let us know exactly what you did not like about it? Mixed review on the Crabtree: lovely location. Food was nice. Not amazing but nice. We unfortunately booked dinner on a day when the pub was having a music festival. We were not informed about the music festival and I have to say it was LOUD and extremely busy. I think we would have had a better time has the music festival not been on and the venue do ‘busy’. Our waiter was lovely, but sadly not overly attentive. They definitely had enough staff on duty though.

We recently visited The crabtree pub, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, they were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. And of course, the cherry on top was the stunning view of the river at dinner time. Overall, I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with great food, friendly service, and a picturesque view by the river.
