The Cookery never fails. Menu is loaded with great, interesting choices. From appetizers to dessert, I’ve never had a disappointing experience at The Cookery. Service and atmosphere is tops too! Joe

The food tasted heavily of the gas it was cooked with. Cooked perfectly but terrible flavor

Every meal at Cookery is memorable. Consistent service and great new dishes every time we go. Excellent dessert special. The fish prep with the baby lentils and pea purée was outstanding with the perfectly cooked sea bass.

The appetizer (meatballs) and pasta dish was good. The secret sandwich was tasty and MASSIVE but also nothing we couldn’t have gotten at a high end deli. The short rib was not good. The kitchen was slammed while we were there so the food took forever and when it came out the short rib was very dry and overcooked. The buttery salty potatoes had to be sent back because they were flash fried but hadn’t been put in long enough so the inside of the potatoes was raw. To their credit they took off the short rib and potatoes for the check, but we left a nice tip because the server was very nice.

The food is always amazing here, the octopus in particular is just sublime. Osso Bucco is the way to go, melt in your mouth. They have a fantastic whiskey selection as well. It's always such a treat to visit.

Delicious selection of fresh appetizers! Server was so helpful and very sweet with attention and service ! Good portion sizes as well!!

Fabulous! I was lucky enough to get the last of the fish special ( char) and it was outstanding. The pasta special was shared among all and the calamari .. simply the best! I woke up dreaming about the yummy special dessert ( a rainbow cookie skillet!).

We drove all the way from battery park to enjoy our lunch on Hudson River. It was the worst meal we have had this year. They have very limited gluten free options. No gluten free bread. Prefix is the only option for lunch - was not listed on the booking page. They “made an exception” for my small child and let her order a burger ala cart. The burger was overcooked and dry and she did’t eat it. They didn’t even ask us why, just took away her plate. 24 dollars for a kids burger - only a patty with cheese, no gluten free bun was available. My meal was horrible. The pork appetizer was too salty. I ate it being very hungry. The chicken arrived even more salty. This time I asked them to remake it. The manager took the plate away without saying a single word! Then he brought a slice of bread with cheese and put it in front of me saying: while you are waiting. It was bizarre. Next my chicken arrived. Dry, tasteless. The manager didn’t even apologize. We paid the bill and left. The server seemed angry and agitated and didn’t check on us after I asked them to re do the chicken. The place sucks on so many levels. We regret spending a beautiful afternoon there.
