The Colosseum Restaurant is an award-winning Italian restaurant offering elegant surroundings and exquisite Southern Italian cuisine. Opened in 1987 by Chef Annibale Todesca, the Colosseum has become an established favorite for diners in Salem, NH and the Merrimack Valley. Chef Annibale Todesca serves the same authentic Southern Italian cooking that he enjoyed growing up in Italy. Like many generations of Todescas, he ventures to the market every day to ensure that he cooks with only the freshest vegetables, seafood and highest quality meats. We drove 2 3/4 hours from Littleton NH in the middle of a winter storm. It was our anniversary, our 20th Anniversary. You were highly recommended by a chef I worked with. Because of the storm there weren’t many people in your restaurant, but we were greeted by a very nice hostess and then waited on by Chelsea! All the reviews are correct, she is phenomenal! We started out with the World Famous Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms. OMG! Then I had the Carbonara w/ Grilled Chicken and my wife had the Al Fritelo. Both meals were seriously the best Italian we’ve ever had. We’ve gone out to dinner on each of our anniversaries and this is the 1st time we’d driven this far and in the middle of a storm, but OMG, it was so worth it. Thank you Chelsea and thank you Chef for making this an amazing anniversary. We will definitely be back! Chris and Karen Perdue

If you like Italian food you won’t be disappointed. Been here many times and always get the Chicken Parm their sauce is amazing, so much so when I need something catered I always order extra sauce. All very fresh, we started with the roasted red peppers, my husband got the chicken pizzola and we finished with cappuccino. Heres one of the best tips..they make their own limoncello creamy and clear. The vanilla creamy limoncello martini is out of this world, and of course a shot of the limoncello for dessert completes the meal.

The restaurant was empty and they put us with two other groups in the place when the pa Bar area had more people and made it more lively. Drink was watered down and not like normal and service was lack luster at best.
