In today’s age of racial tension, a restaurant should be cognizant on how they seat customers. I hope that I am wrong and this was not racial, however it felt like it. I was given a recommendation about the restaurant from numerous coworkers. I made a reservation for 5 for Father’s Day. We arrived and observed that the main dining area had open booths to accommodate my party. However, we were not asked if we wanted to sit in those seats but was lead to a side dining area with no other customers. Yes, it felt strange but didn’t comment. We dined for over a hour, and no other customers were lead to our area. I asked for the check and when I received it, I noticed that I can scan the QR code to pay the bill and I did and put the bill in my pocketbook. A few minutes later, the waitress came back to the table and asked what we did with the bill. I replied that I paid online. She appeared “shocked” and thanked us and walked way. I can’t say that I would go back. Yes, we are of color and I dined with my husband and our 3 adult sons. The food was good however would have been better if the racial aspect was not a concern.

Had lunch with 2 companions. Both companions were pleased with their entrees. Mine, beef Wellington, was very disappointing. The filet had a touch of freezer burn and was tasteless. The outer coating was crusty and overcooked. Have had this entree many times here in the past. Have never been disappointed till today. Just tasted like the whole entree was microwaved. Maybe this is an item that should not be offered on the lunch menu.

It was our 2nd time being there & it still did not disappoint. The food is very good, mouth watering entrees, sides, etc. and cooked perfectly. Great selection, plus wines, listed cocktails (geared more towards men, though, it seemed), and really good cappuccinos with our dessert. Attentive wait staff and perfect ambience with music that was at the perfect level, not where most places now, that have blaring music where you have to practically yell to talk to each other. We will definitely be back when we can, as it’s an hour drive for us, but definitely worth it.

Menu choice for food and drinks were from basic to unusual. We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed everything from appetizers, lunches, drinks to desserts.

We celebrated our anniversary there and were greeted with a thank you card signed by their staff as well as a champagne toast. The food, drinks and service were outstanding. It was a wonderful experience and a joy to be treated so well.
