First time here and it was excellent. Me and my partner had the scallops and crispy lamb to start which was exquisite, this led on to the roast pork which was superb. Will be back again very soon.

The food was just amazing. We were a party of 4 and we all ordered different starters and mains. Everything we had was excellent. Meats were all prepared perfectly and were deliciously seasoned. All sides were delicious and complimented perfectly (not just fillers). Price point was definitely appropriate.

Wow. Was this place a gem to find on a weekend in Bath. Luckily I had read the TripAdvisor reviews and booked ahead for our party of 5. Don’t try walking in for Sunday lunch, you ain’t going to get a table. First impressions were of a pub that had met someone’s Farrell and Ball dream, lots of Downpipe and Elephants Buttocks pastels greeted our party of 5. Our server was very cool, English and geisha silk meets yakuza ink with some Ninja steel vibe quietly menacing if you deliberated too long on your order. The other staff seemed wary. My companions were quick with their orders. I liked her. Food was awesome, Yorkshire puddings you could use to escape floodwater with a family of 4, and plates heaving with meat and veg. The cheesy leaks are one of the most pleasurable (legal) things that I have put in my body. Overall 10/10.

Really enjoyed our lunch until the last 10 mins when we were told that they needed our table back - we had only been there for 1hr 15 mins when they told us this and brought us our bill as soon as we had finished our dessert . No chance for coffee or another drink despite the booking saying that we had the table for two hours . Very poor when you have spent over £100 for two people and didn’t have any starters!
