                              The ambiance and environment is wonderful and the service couldn’t be better. It was lunchtime and I was hoping to get some real food but instead I got these little tea sandwiches that were really overpriced and could never be mistaken for a real lunch in any culture. They don’t open their restaurant until June 1 And it is open while the Christmas lights are operating in December and the first part of January. I am English and so is my mother with the English tea thing doesn’t work for me. It would be great if the restaurant was open for real food at lunchtime.

                              Beautiful spot in the sunroom. Beautiful flowers, delicious treats and tea. Great value despite having to pay admission in addition. But if you have a season's pass, it's very economical, getting your 10% discount. The spring prelude room was amazing too.

                              It was nice loved the music loved the tea loved the snacks. Garden was beautiful. High tea was great although if you came just for high tea it’s costing you 65 admission and 55 for the high tea so for a couple you’re looking at twice that ! Worth the experience

                              We had afternoon tea in the dining room at Butchart Gardens on Family Day Monday and found the experience to be quite lovely. We were warmly greeted by the host who checked us in, took our coats and after a very short wait we were seated by our server at a wonderful table by a window looking out onto the garden. The room was bright, impeccably clean and had all the hushed serenity one would expect in the garden setting… I felt the music could have been a touch louder as it was barely audible and might have offered a bit of ambiance and privacy. Our server was friendly, very pleasant and she explained our tea options and guided us through the service. We opted for the « sparkling tea for two » which featured a half-bottle of BC sparkling wine, and we thought the wine added a bit of a celebratory note to our experience. The first course was a bright and light lemon trifle, and was followed by the three-tier tea sandwich and pastry tower and of course the loose-leaf tea ( the rose tea was amazing!) The tower looked elegant, and was very generously filled with fresh and delicious small bites. Some were served warm, others were chilled and all were distinctly flavoured and well balanced, perfect for pairing with the tea offerings. We found the whole experience to be absolutely wonderful and left feeling fully satiated and thoroughly satisfied.

                              I celebrate all my special occasions and bring all my favourite people to The Dining Room at The Butchart Gardens. The food and the service are always excellent, and the ambience is so very special. It truly is my favourite restaurant.

                              Unfortunately we cut our afternoon tea short as we had a 3 year old with a really bad cough at the table next to my 99 year old mother.

                              Wow! Excellent tea, scrumptious sandwiches and desserts and a wonderful ambience. Elizabeth was attentive and extremely professional. High Tea is a must do if you are at the Butchart Gardens.
