Lovely setting in a beautiful garden. The tea service food was ample and about 50/50 savory/sweet. You do not choose your selections. The food was tasty enough. Nothing a “wow!”. The big draw is the setting.

There are a good variety of dinner options that included beef, chicken, fish, lamb and other. Very well prepared and served. The dining experience was a highlight to our visit the amazing gardens.

The savories/sandwiches were yummy (lowest tier), the rest of the tea (trifle, pastries/desserts and scone) was just okay and I felt we could've bought them at any grocery/bakery - they didn't feel "special" or different. Not a big enough selection of teas either. Service seemed a bit slow, which was alright as we weren't in a rush that day. The tea at the Empress is more expensive, but the pastries/desserts/scones were much better quality and tasted so much better. And they had many more teas to choose from. I suggest spending more money for better food at The Empress. The ambience was nice - we sat in a bright, airy and open area with lots of plants around, which was very nice. My husband enjoyed the wine flight that paired well with each tier.
