We had a great evening at the Boathouse Restaurant. The food was delicious. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was picturesque and relaxing! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Service is SLOWWW! It doesn't matter if you have a reservation or not, you will have to wait 30+ min for a table, and this is for 3 pm on Sunday. This place need to hire more staffs. Their servers seem very busy. Nice location, food is surpar, service can be improved.

We were lucky enough to get a seat in the gazebo and it was just stunning views. Service was quite slow but expected on a holiday weekend. Food was excellent! Highly recommend stuffed sole!

We had the best seat in the house! We were right by the water and it was gorgeous. We had the best service. The food was good. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

We have been coming to the Boathouse for many years and wanted to introduce it to a friend this year. We booked reservations more than a week out requesting the outdoor gazebo area and didn’t get it. When I asked the hostess why since we booked over a week out, she gave me a snarky attitude and said that people book that months in advance. Ok, fine but I don’t need the attitude because I didn’t give one. For food, it was just okay. My daughter and I ordered the Chicken Sierra and the chicken was extremely dry. We couldn’t eat it. My wife ordered a shrimp dish and loved it though. Sadly, it’s not the same experience that we used to enjoy.

Went to The Boathouse Restaurant based on a recommendation. The restaurant is set beautifully on the lake, however we were disappointed in the service, food, and value. First, we had basic questions on the menu that our waitress admitted she didn't know the answers to. But she never offered to find out. Questions, like what is in the seafood stuffing or what are the difference in the steak rub? We ordered the filet mignon ($56) and asked for it medium. It came almost purple basically rare, we did send it back and it came back very well done. This was very frustrating. In the end, the restaurant did take the steak off the bill which was the right thing to do because we barely ate it. The rest of the food was mediocre and the service was slow and not attentive. As a family and our first time in Lake George, we really wanted to love this place. The setting is beautiful so it is unfortunate that the food and service are lacking.
