Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

    Unfortunately, although our meal & service was excellent, the chairs were so uncomfortable & unsteady it distracted from enjoying our meal.

    This is a regular stop for us when in Cape May. Consistently good quality for food. Our server was lovely and attentive.

    Ok but not great. Waitress was pleasant and attentive, food was average and wouldn’t return in a hurry. Quite loud.

    We sat outside, which was lovely. Quieter than inside. Service was efficient. Food very tasty! Try the Orange Crushin’ It beer. Brewed in Cape May! The bread served was delicious - and the servers were happy to replenish it. Very busy as it was July 4th weekend. Definitely would eat here again!

    The Blue Pig always provides an enjoyable meal in a great atmosphere. We had brunch outside on the side of the building in the back courtyard of Congress Hall. It was a lovely environment in which to dine. The ocean was in the background and the sun was shining. The service was very good and the brunch is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Love this historic venue. This is a lovely tavern- style dining experience with a bit of posh flare. Great cocktail menu. Delicious seasonal menu include offerings from a locally sourced farm. Definitely pricey but well worth the experience.
