The Beltliner, named for the old streetcar that ran down 12th ave in the early part of the last century, is a modern and casual interpretation of the classic diner.

We offer a menu crafted with local, seasonal, artisanal and handmade ingredients.

Our goal is to continually offer the freshest, most innovative, playful takes on diner fare in a fun and approachable setting. We take those classic diner staples you would expect and elevate them with great produce and modern techniques. Serious cooking while not taking ourselves too seriously.


We also have a small to-go coffee counter featuring Fratello coffee, Fresh Pressed Juice and loads of housemade pastries and snacks.

    Super tasty brunch, loved the pear and ricotta french toast and the London fog I had, both were excellent! And our server was lovely, we were with friends catching up after a year and she let us stay at the table visiting for a good hour after we’d finished without rushing us out, which we certainly appreciated. Will be back!

    The food was not very flavourful for both parties and the service was not super attentive. Too expensive to return for bland food.

    Great, friendly service. We had to slide a reservation 30 minutes and they handled it nicely!

    Always delicious and one of my go-to places for this reason. I appreciate that they can cook a medium poached egg perfectly!!

    Very disappointing breakfast. Used to be the best in town. Portions are smaller, quality is not their in the food, the hash was anemic and looked like it had come out of a grocery store freezer. Plus charging $2.50 for 2 grapes a strawberry and 2tbsp of chopped melon in replacement of 2 slices of toast and hash is extortion.

    Good breakfast spot. Nothing fancy, but good quality, well prepared comfort food. Loved the hollandaise on the eggs benny. The side of bacon on another meal was pretty boring - not worth it. Thin, crispy, nothing to write home about. Service was on the ball, and not intrusive. French toast was a bit on the undercooked side. Sausages were delicious, and overall flavours were good.
