Food and wine menus are outstanding. The carte de vin is well curated and the som will steer you to good selections regardless of budget. Food menu is creative, changes with the seasons and has a couple of mainstays that are always excellent. Go there!!!1

Delicious food. Well-prepared and beautifully presented. Thoughtful service despite the disruption of a major downpour which required re-seating of many guests from the covered patio. Be sure to check the menu so you know that this place is not cheap. Excellent, but pricey.

The Ashby Inn is an upscale intimate restaurant located in a quaint small Inn complex that dates back to 1829 and is located approximately 30 minutes from Winchester and 20 or so minutes from Middleburg both in Virginia. The food is of gourmet quality and has been excellent for each of our three visits. The wine list is very extensive, and the food menu is guaranteed to have something for every palate. The service is impeccable as is the attention to detail from the managers. Obviously, the prices are reflected in the overall quality and presentation so you may want to have a look at the menu online to ensure that you are not surprised. We are already talking about returning for another visit.

My experience at The Ashby in was nothing short of extraordinary. From the beautiful scenery of the nearby mountains to the garnishing of the meals, everything was prepared with excellency as the cornerstone.

The food is delicious and there are great choices, even though it is not a large menu. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is very helpful. This is the perfect place for a special occasion. We love sitting out on the patio.

The Ashby Inn is just as amazing for lunch as it is for dinner. The Pork Duo was delicious as well as the Steak Tartare. I highly recommend The Ashby for the food and beautiful outdoor dining. Definitely worth the drive to picturesque Paris, Virginia.

A very quaint setting overlooking rolling hills. We sat outside and had a very nice view. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. A nice place for a date or quiet dinner. There is nothing else around it so the noise level is very low.

Ambience, location and presentation were good, however the execution was lacking, especially for such a high price point. The lamb was served undercooked and had to be remade. The second attempt was perfectly prepared. The rest of our meal delicious, if a little lacking in creativity. Overall the culinary passion was apparent, but our experience fell short of our expectations. The Ashby Inn is a storied and beautiful establishment, and the food certainly has potential to be excellent. It is regrettable that we did not get to experience what they are fully capable of.
