Set on the bank of the beautiful river Cam in the historic city of Cambridge, The Anchor pub, dining room & river terrace is a stone’s throw away from the world famous Queens college & its stunning Mathematical Bridge.

We serve fresh seasonal food using locally sourced ingredients, cask conditioned real ales, craft beers, wines from a carefully chosen innovative wine list. We provide friendly knowledgeable & relaxed service in picturesque surroundings.

Terrible experience. Made reservation, restaurant confirmed reservation, after arrived on time, there was any reseved table. Ni possibility even drink on a bar and wait. Super noisy and dirty place. We left and never try enter again.

Booked an outside table on (what turned out to be) a rainy day - staff was incredibly thoughtful and reserved a table by the window instead, highlighting we were welcome to sit outside if we wanted. Great food, good selection of drinks, and thoughtful service. Also, love the location of the Anchor, it is always lovely looking out over the river and watching people punt.

The location by the Cam, the punting, and the bridge, make the Anchor a convenient place to visit. The service was friendly, even in the afternoon, and the hamburger delicious.

The service was really great and attentive, giving great food suggestions and even making me fresh mint tea when it wasn't on the menu! The beetroot hummus and flatbread was amazing. The view in the upstairs dining room is lovely, you look over the docking area for the punts so lots to see!

Great staff - they welcomed us with open arms! Lovely view. And our Croque Monsieur sandwiches were delicious.

Very friendly staff, very accommodating about our dog, gave us an incredible window table, top notch service, awesome food. Very very pleased with the whole experience for our group of 6.
