The Actress pub in East Dulwich lies just off Lordship Lane in a peaceful and popular residential area. Our helpful and friendly staff create a relaxed environment for our locals visitors and their dogs to enjoy, a perfect meeting place for friends. Outdoor heaters ensure our beer garden is comfortable all year round and can seat over 60 people!

Wawww... very nice startar chicken liver profiteroles with cherry infused... I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE ALL THE STARS! I really enjoyed the food with my family! I will come back for soon! ✨️

We came for Father's Day and were placed in the Euros area, which was an odd choice but not a problem as not too loud. All 3 roasts were pretty good - though over-priced at £18-£20 IMO. Desserts took ages to arrive, which was odd given they clearly weren't made from scratch. I had to return my profiteroles as they were hard - as in stale, or perhaps heated then left out, not frozen. The replacement was a kids'-size brownie so we asked for service to be removed at the end, which tbf they did. All in all, a rather uninspiring experience with pretty basic service. This place is probably good for pizza as that's their signature thing and it's a pretty chilled place to hang out with kids, but despite inflated prices and a location in the heartland of gastro-pubbery, it doesn't seem to aspire to be anything great.

Apologies about your seating arrangement, we have limited space as it is and a last minute booking for fathers day we did our best to accommodate. The Kids size brownie was choice not our recommendation & would have removed the original dessert but hadn't when you came to pay so you asked we forfeit the service not the food not eaten. We make everything 100% in house so we are incredibly sorry the profiteroles were stiff and not up to par and taken that on board. Cheers, The Actress team

Kids table was great. Food was OK – roasts pretty dry, didn't feel it was £18 well spent.

The Actress never fails. Great drinks and amazing food (particularly the pizzas). We last came for my Dad’s birthday and he is gluten free and they were more than happy to make edits to his order to make it okay for him. The staff never fails to make our time there welcoming. Lucy, Chris and Jasmine in particular are amazing at their jobs and make the atmosphere brilliant. Forever one of my go to pubs. Thank you!

Lovely Waiters. But sadly we’re told most of what we wanted to order was no longer available. I’m not sure how you run out of roast pork on a Sunday when you advertise Sunday roasts but we understood. Sadly one of us had to miss out on a roast and opted for a burger meal instead which was pleasant. The roasts weren’t enjoyable if I’m honest. Lacked flavour. You had to grab the closest waiter/waitress when you had a chance, although when they came over they tried their best to be attentive. Gave my son a colouring pot and some paper which we appreciated. Probably won’t return here, in a nice way. Thank you for the service though.

Very friendly staff. Took our two grandchildren and they loved the pizzas. Would definitely go again.
