This was the first time my son and I have eaten at Texas de Brasil in more than a decade. We both looked forward to going because in our memories, the food was amazing. Both of us were disappointed. Nothing tasted as good as what we remembered. I can’t pinpoint what was wrong, but everything was subpar. The staff was great though and the value for the amount of food is a good price point. However, I have no desire to go back because the food was average.

My husband and I drove an hour and a half to eat here for our anniversary. We have 2 kids so getting out to go somewhere special and on the pricey side doesn’t happen often. Food was Fantastic, the waitress however was terrible. We got there and she came to us right away and got our drinks. We went to the salad bar and 15 minutes later she comes with our sides and my husband’s drink. Spills the drink all over her and it got all over my husband’s leg and shoe. She didn’t even apologize just started complaining about how she’s gonna have to wear it all night. 10 minutes go by and my husband still does not have a drink, she comes back again with another mop and I asked her if he get can a drink to which she replied I’m cleaning up his drink now. We had 2 or 3 different people get us drinks because she literally would disappear for a long time not to be seen. The food was great, waitress made it a terrible experience though. Very unfortunate when we drive a long time, spend a lot of money, and have people watch our kids.

Texas de Brazil Richmond is not as good as it used to be to be, which sucks because this one has always been my fav place. They are extremely slow with bringing the meats around, we even had to ask multiple times to bring some to our table of 4. They were actually very salty as well. Not sure if I will return again, this is probably my 3rd time going this year and it gets worse every time.

Given the inconsistent food, service and cleanliness we've experienced as so many other hospitality industry businesses, we've settled on just one day or night a month to dine out at just one business, Texas De Brazil. While no business is absolutely perfect in every way, TDB consistently outperforms all others, period. Even though the cost per person is a bit higher than others around, it's really not when you factor everything into the mix. That's when this becomes the best value.
