Teatro se traduit par « théâtre » en italien, et cet établissement du même nom rend hommage à son emplacement, dans le quartier des arts et du théâtre à Calgary. Depuis plus de 20 ans, le Teatro est au service de la cuisine méditerranéenne contemporaine dans une ambiance gastronomique, logé dans le bâtiment historique de la Dominion Bank de Toronto (construit en 1911). La cave à vins primée recèle plus de 13 500 bouteilles représentant 1100 étiquettes différentes, avec un accent sur les vins raffinés de l'Italie et de Bordeaux. Vous pouvez profiter d'une expérience gastronomique unique grâce au menu dégustation à huit services du chef. Si vous êtes un grand groupe, des options de salles à manger privées et semi-privées sont aussi disponibles.

    Excellent all around. If you are looking for a quiet higher end restaurant that has great service, delicious food and lovely ambience definitely recommend checking it out.

    Exceptional We went twice while in Calgary First time prior to travel to Banff then upon our return to Calgary We had their wine pairing dinner AMAZING!!!! The staff the chef the sommelier 10/10 Love the city clean all the people are firendly Teatro is a great ambassador to the great city of Calgary and Canada as a whole

    I booked a table at Teatro for a birthday dinner with my family, but the experience was disappointing. Although we were seated on the patio as requested, the area was plagued by wasps, and there were unhoused individuals nearby, making it uncomfortable. Our main dishes took an hour to arrive, with no updates from the staff, and we were surprised by an automatic gratuity charge, which our server said was due to us switching tables—something we’ve never encountered elsewhere. Despite being a birthday reservation, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion, which felt impersonal. Overall, I expected more from Teatro and was let down by the service and attention to detail.

    We loved our experience at Teatro’s. It was a special occasion for us and we weren’t disappointed. The service was excellent and our server was very helpful in choosing our meals and doing the wine pairings. The ambiance was grand and beautiful. We would highly recommend this venue…excellent Italian food choices too plus other choices as well.

    I normally don’t give 5 stars (since I always assume those reviews are bots) but teatro is just too good to give less than 5 stars. I don’t know anyone that works there, but I’ve gone from time to time over the past 2 decades and I literally have NEVER been disappointed. I’m even a bit picky, but when I’m at teatro I’ll even eat things I don’t like (if you aren’t a salmon fan, try it there). They season their food so precisely and use the freshest ingredients that those flavours end up being delightful. Also, if you give them advance notice they can provide halal meat! Not many restaurants offering that!

    It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and Teatro really helped make it special with a lovely card and a special dessert. Service and food were amazing. The noise/music from the restaurant was a perfect level. There was a large festival happening in Olympic plaza that added some noise from time to time (but by no means interrupted our evening). Truly a lovely experience overall. Would recommend Teatro for date nights and special celebrations.

    Oh my! Everything was a delight. The dark horse dish was the eggplant parmesan. It's not something we usually order, but we were all so glad we did! The other starts of the show were the dry aged rib eye (seriously amazing and I will personally order that the next time) the rack of lamb and the Teatro Lasagna. And the tiramisu was also a huge hit! It was the perfect 75th birthday celebration for my mother.

    Absolutely fabulous food. Great wine list and very experienced sommelier. Service was pleasant, well paced and unobtrusive. Looking forward already to our next visit.
