Congenital staff, food was delicious. The glass room was quite warm…required us to change seating locations. Having dined there since the early 80s, I can’t help missing the exquisite (breathtaking!) ambience pre-renovation. Would give anything to relive being in that exquisite setting. Seems more generic now. A shame, but time to move on, I guess. I am grateful that at least it was reincarnated after initially closing.

I love Tavern on the Green. Anything on the menu is a winner in my opinion. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed.

We were first--time customers there to celebrate our daughter’s first Broadway show performance after 2 years of auditions! Wonderful iconic nyc restaurant… Best friendly & efficient staff who listen to guests needs & deliver even beyond what is requested! Every menu item we ordered was exquisite… Beautiful ambience, wonderful seating choices. We’ll definitely be back!!!!

The appetizers, bursts and tuna poke were good, not exceptional. The salmon main was dry and the 28 day aged NY Steak was tough. I had to return it once because it was overcooked. Asked for medium rare, pink and juicy , received gray medium serving. Second serving was rare. I accepted it but it was tough and flavorless. Ambience is nice outdoors. Staff were courteous.

Food was not fresh and overly complicated. Service was not commensurate with a restaurant of that price range. Every dining room was half empty instead of closing one and combining them so instead it seemed unpopular and depressing. Sad to see this lovely space and location so poorly run.

I cannot recommend Tavern on the Green enough. We went here for our 1st wedding anniversary. Nicole our server was outstanding and soo friendly and gave great recommendations on the menu. We had such a lovely nite.

The food was fresh and delicious. Our server, Clement, was amazing. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. She was one of the best servers I’ve had in any restaurant.
