L'historique Tartar Frigate est l'un des seuls restaurants en silex du XVIIIe siècle du comté de Kent. Reconnu comme l'un des meilleurs restaurants de fruits de mer, il offre une magnifique vue panoramique sur Viking Bay à Broadstairs. Si vous n'aimez pas les fruits de mer, vous pouvez toujours choisir un succulent plat traditionnel du monde entier de son grand menu. Au bar, vous trouverez un feu accueillant auprès duquel vous pourrez vous réchauffer. Pendant la semaine folklorique de Broadstairs, le Tartar Frigate devient un lieu important pour les festivités, et organise des concerts la journée ainsi que le soir. En été, vous pourrez savourer votre bière sur la plage.

Tartar Frigate is not to be missed. The food is amazing - plenty of fish on offer - and there is a warm welcome waiting for you. The view from the restaurant must also be one of the best in town!

Wonderful virw over Viking Bay. Excellent service. I had dressed crab which was lovely if anything too much food!!!

Very friendly service, a nice view of the bay and good food for the most part, although we both found our potatoes under-seasoned.

Our first time at the restaurant, for Sunday lunch. Friendly and attractive staff throughout our meal. It's four courses on a Sunday, which are all well presented, taste great and you'll need a health appetite too. Only two sittings on a Sunday, so book early to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend..!!!

Staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the pork with caramelised apple sauce and whilst it was tasty it could have been a bit more pink. Vegetables and chips were lovely. Chips just right and vegetables not overcooked and had a bite to it. My mum’s fish was a bit mushy but she was ok with it. Overall good experience.

Lovely restaurant with a beautiful view of the sea, recommended by a family friend. The restaurant had a lovely ambience and we were very well looked after. The staff was very friendly and our note on the reservation was taken into consideration which for us was a plus. The restaurant manager was lovely and when ordering we were advised the food would take a bit as it was prepared by order and it was worth the wait. Beautifully presented, and delicious and everyone was happy with it. We would definitely recommend and will make sure if we are ever around this area again we will be coming back!

Great seafood restaurant overlooking Viking Bay. Very busy so glad we booked in advance. Food and wine very tasty with generous portions. Why not 5 stars? I was dining with 2 others who had really flavoursome food. I had seafood linguine and although there were plenty of mussels and clams etc the sauce was quite bland, hardly any seasoning. I didn’t think it brought out the flavours of the seafood. In saying that it wasn’t that bad that it warranted a complaint.

As of this visit and previous ones the service is always exemplary nothing is too much trouble and the ambience is also top notch
