L'historique Tartar Frigate est l'un des seuls restaurants en silex du XVIIIe siècle du comté de Kent. Reconnu comme l'un des meilleurs restaurants de fruits de mer, il offre une magnifique vue panoramique sur Viking Bay à Broadstairs. Si vous n'aimez pas les fruits de mer, vous pouvez toujours choisir un succulent plat traditionnel du monde entier de son grand menu. Au bar, vous trouverez un feu accueillant auprès duquel vous pourrez vous réchauffer. Pendant la semaine folklorique de Broadstairs, le Tartar Frigate devient un lieu important pour les festivités, et organise des concerts la journée ainsi que le soir. On holiday. Decided to have Sunday lunch. Four of us. Four courses. £35. Great food, super service. Be sure to book. They have 2 sittings and it’s busy !

We’ve visited before on our annual trip to Broadstairs for sea air and a catch up with friend, and would nog dream of Sunday lunch anywhere else. Four horses for £35 is such good value and the food is plentiful, and fantastic. The roast beef was divine, just melted in the mouth, with great yorkshires, roasties and plentiful veg. A varied selection of starters and good old fashioned desserts all so tasty and perfectly cooked. Service is impeccable, you are made to feel so welcome, and nothing is too much trouble, a trait other establishments could benefit from. Truly perfect way to finish our visit to this lovely town.

A lovely cosy sea food restaurant, staff are very attentive to your needs. The food is top class and good size portions. Truly a wonderful evening.

Perfect place for fish and chips by the seaside. Great restaurant and bonus of live music downstairs in the pub when we had finished eating!!

Lovely location. Real old Pub . Very dark inside which added to its charm. Booked a table upstairs in the resturant. The server was a lovely lady very attentive. Didnt have Dover Sole on the Menu which disapointed my wife. However we enjoyed the meal. It was a Wednesday evening therefore it was very quiet. At its peak there were 8 people dining. However we didnt mind that as the interaction was better.

Another wonderful meal at the Tartar Frigate, the oysters were superb, the special scallops starter was excellent and the Cod and Bass dishes were both delicious. All the vegetables were very tasty as well. Service was friendly and efficient and we had a lovely evening.
