Full disclosure, I am a Tam O Shanter’s “regular”. The reasons behind this are simple…consistent quality, delicious food, and a superior staff including the fantastic waiters, waitresses & bartenders, excellent cooking staff, and the always accommodating and friendly hostesses. Today’s experience included a party of 11, a few last minute cancellations, and a few late shows, including myself…. In true Tam fashion, all of these setbacks were taken in stride and our first of many closing year lunch events was handled beautifully!! This is and will continue to be my favorite Los Angeles restaurant, especially when hosting a special guest or event. Thank you again Tam O Shanter

Curated dining experiences at the Tam are incredible! Experts in spirits, wines and all other things edible bring you along on a flavor journey of your wildest imaginations. Restaurants used to all be this way - a place to call 2nd Home. Tam takes care and makes an effort to do everything correctly.

The service was very slow, waiter serviced our food, spilled on my wife and walked away. Asked for a side, never came, 2 people i asked. Won't go back !!

Great experience as always at the Tam. The only hiccup if anything, is that some of the outdoor tables ( the ones not near the fireplace) feel a bit generic Food and whisky were amazing. And waiter was top notch.

I had reservations at 6:00 pm. Hostess was polite and we were seated right away. We both had the Akaushi Beef Prime Rib special. It was so good. I love it when there's specials like that. I've tried the Dry Aged and Smoked Prime Rib in the past and both of those were delicious. The waitress was awesome. She came around just the right amount. Anything we needed was promptly taken care of. We got the Chocolate Soufflé which we haven't seen on the menu in a long time. To die for, hoping it will be a regular menu item again. Tam O'Shanter is always good, and if you came make it when there is a Prime Rib special going on. You won't regret it. Try and make it there early if you can cause they can run out of the specials sometimes.

We love this place so we took our nephew, wondering how a 30something would enjoy it, and he loved it! The food was great as always and we requested Jill as our server, she's amazing! Highly recommend this place for a fabulous meal!

We had a very good dinner at this iconic restaurant. I especially like their Shepard's Pie and my wife likes their prime rib, but this time she had the Tam Burger which she enjoyed. Friendly service and a nice place to visit.

I've dined here on numerous occasions and it has always been an enjoyable experience, however, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. Waiter took forever to take orders, lengthly time for the food to arrive and when the food arrived, several party members received the incorrect order. The staff eventually brought out the correct items. The waiter could have done a better job of informing us of delays and why things were taking so long, maybe offered up something to fill in the gaps. Other parties near us had the same experience and voiced their frustrations.

I’ve been to Tam O’Shanter twice this past year. Yesterday was the 3rd. First 2 times, the prime rib was perfect. Yesterday, it was the worst prime rib I’ve ever had. The meat was really tough, hard to cut, and no flavor/seasoning. I’m sure it was just an isolated incident but I left really unsatisfied yesterday. Luckily, all the other sides were perfect and the service was good.

We waited over an hour for our entrees and asked four times for the heater to be turned on the outside patio. The busser was the only attentive one, and our server kept blaming things on him. Terrible experience.
