Our menu features Rustic Italian Recipes, Thin Crust Pizzas & Fresh Pastas. Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. The window tables have mesmerizing views and are ideal for intimate dining occasions. The outdoor deck seats about 40-people and is the go-to spot for your fair weather celebrations. We have celebrated many family events at this place over the last 12 years and have always recommended it. That's why we brought some friends from Brazil yesterday. Unfortunately, we had a really bad experience. There were eight of us, and three arrived a few minutes late. The waitress came to the table and asked our friends if they wanted to start ordering drinks, but they said they would wait for us. When we arrived, she came back and started talking. One of our guests ordered a drink, but she told them that she wasn't taking drink orders yet and that they should wait for her to finish her speech. She was really rude. Since she had come before to collect the drink order, she should have just taken the orders. My husband's steak was as hard as a rock. He complained, and it was comped. We ordered four carbonaras at the table, and we all agreed that it was the most tasteless carbonara we had ever had. I've had the carbonara there before, and it was delicious. Overall, it was not a good experience for us, and we were ashamed to have invited friends from abroad for such a bad meal.

We always have a great time at Stoneground Kitchen- the food is always good and the service is outstanding- especially when we are lucky to get Hannah as our waitress.

We have always liked going to Stoneground. The service and food are exceptional. This was the first time that my family has been there. They said they will be back.
