The server was awesome. They all have been there for years and they are still loving their job. Food was good, great atmosphere.

This is my wife's favourite place to come for our anniversaries. We have enjoyed all our visits here, great food and service.

The food was wonderful, but the service was fair. The server asked if we wanted more bread & we said yes, but we never saw the bread basket return. We asked for water refill & he said sure, but never returned. He later asked if we were celebrating birthday & we said it's my son's 16th birthday. However, all we have was just a 'happy birthday" & not even a birthday candle. We were a bit disappointed especially when we noticed another table got a birthday candle on their cake.

Wide variety of tempting food items. Fresh, well presented food. Friendly wait staff. Nice atmosphere. I prefer sitting g in the front areas; though seated in a back alcove it was lightened by skylight and decor mirrors plus wall-hung gas fireplace. Recommend.

As always, a superb dining experience. A fabulous Dine Out menu choice was available and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Enjoyed a lovely Saturday brunch at SSH. I hope the "Dine-out Vancouver" brunch is so successful that they carry on with Saturday rather than limiting brunch to Sundays only! Great meal, great service, an al-round great experience!

We came for the Dine Out Lunch; arrived at 12:15pm and it was busy but not packed. Service for our table was very slow from the get go, we ended up being there for THREE HOURS (it was past 3:15 by the time we left). Our server was pleasant (when he could be found), but was quite inattentive. It took a long time before he came back to take our order; My food was delivered with hair on the plate (they said they "remade it", but it was back out within two minutes--the only thing that was expedient that day); On numerous occasions, our glasses would be empty for quite a while before we could flag someone down for water refills, and a couple of times, he forgot to come back with the water and we had to find someone else. The food itself was very good, the flavours were fresh and tasty. However, the other let down was that they had already run out of the panna cotta (dessert on the Dine out menu) as of the time we ordered, which was surprising considering it was still quite early in the day (or so we thought). They offered a substitute dessert of tiramisu but it wasn't as good nor fresh as the lemon tart was. The value for the Dine Out menu and price was worth it. It was our party's first time at Steveston Seafood House, and based on the food we had, I'd go back and try again, in hopes that the service we received last weekend was not their norm/standard.
