I had previously been to Stella San Jac for brunch and was impressed with the food and the service, so I decided to go back for dinner to celebrate my partner’s bday. The service was extremely slow, our waitress didn’t even introduced herself - I just knew her name was Hannah because the hostess, Becky (who was extremely nice) informed us of it. The food took forever to come out and since it’s an open kitchen concept I could see plates just sitting under the heating lamp. When we got our food it was cold, the steaks tasted terrible and not the temp we asked, shrimp was cold and my halibut was dry. They did offer to remake our plates and although the second time around the food was hot, flavor was not good the fat on the NY strip was no rendered, the meat quality looked/tasted terrible and the halibut was once again extremely dry. The manager walked by and did not care to address the issue, she only said “they’re remaking everything so it’s going to take a little while” there was no apology or empathy at all. The bill had all the items on it including a dessert we order for the bday. Again just zero care in the world that our experience was bad. Probably the worst 220 dls I’ve spent in a restaurant.

We had breakfast and it was delicious! I had the standard with scrambled eggs, sausage, potato cake, and a biscuit. The eggs were very soft as they may have added cream to them. My daughter had chicken and waffles. There was a lot of chicken on that waffle! The atmosphere and restaurant were very nice. We would definitely come back!

Love the vibe of the restaurant. Our breakfast was really good. The only thing I would have to complain is that our server was Kind of rude when he served us our breakfast. We had no silverware, napkins, salt or pepper on our table and no butter. When we asked for these things we should have had in the first place, he looked at us like it was an inconvenience. Our waitress was nice and friendly but not our server.

Easy to reserve, they called to confirm, which is always good and a great reminder! Although we had a reservations, the line to check-in with the host was so long! Most of them were walk-ins. I wish they had a reservations check-in and a walk-in checking. Our server was good. She at first did not give us a drinks menu only food menus. Had to request water and coffee refills often. Food: Brunch menu was great! We enjoyed our food, the biscuits are really good, so was Shrimp and Grits, and Salmon Benedicts. Drink: Coffee amazing and strong and the Spicy Paloma was very good too!

Our server was very pleasant. The food was disappointing. My salad was tasteless and my friend's miso salmon came with a thick sauce instead of classic miso. The food was expensive for what we got. The carbonation machine wasn't working, so our drinks had to be returned. We split one slice of key lime pie (which was comped), and it was quite good. There are better choices in downtown Austin.
