Come to Steamship Grill & Bar as you are. There you will unwind; feeling more relaxed, refreshed and refueled as your visit unfolds. Casual, yet upscale, the atmosphere will be comfortable and welcoming to locals and visitors to the Inner Harbour. The decor honours the heritage of the working waterfront with elements that compliment the timeless quality of the original Steamship Terminal building.

Our chef’s approach will emphasize hand-crafted and ethically produced ingredients featuring British Columbia and, in particular, Vancouver Island ranchers, micro-brewers, vintners and artisanal producers that share his vision and passion for fresh, local & sustainable.

Our bar features the best local and international wines including 8 signature by-the-tap varietals. Our draught selection features local breweries dedicated to their craft.

We have a small (8 person) private room with A/V capabilities. This will cater to not only a working business-style luncheon or dinner function, but also to special occasion diners celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.In conjunction with the Bateman Gallery above us, we will also be able to cater to larger groups (up to 80). We can accommodate anything from a stand up cocktail and appetizer style reception to a full sit down dinner.

Had the seafood chowder & caesar salad; dressing is house-made, traditional, & very tasty; chowder was their own take & included chunks of lardon/bacon — also delicious…not too thick, not too thin, & good flavor. Definitely worth a stop! Very convenient to the Hotel Grand Pacific…just across the street.

We had a great experience. We had requested an outside table, and we were able to get one. The service was fantastic, we arrived just before a bit of a rush, but it didn't affect us. Our server was very nice in that we had 1 minute before Happy Hour ended, and he accommodated us no problem at all. Our food arrived promptly, it was delicious and our order was correct. We will definitely go back and it seems like it is a popular place with locals, there were a few people who looked like regulars to me.

Food, service, and ambiance were all very good. The one negative aspect I would mention is that there were several hornets flying around, attracted by the smell of our food!

The food was incredibly delicious and at an amazing value. It was high quality, well cooked, and very well prepared and presented. We didn't wait too long to receive it either and it's one of the few cases where we eat at a nicer restaurant and leave feeling properly full and like we got our money's worth. Window seating was also fantastic as it gave you an amazing view of the Victoria Harbour, and there's few other places that can beat that kind of view. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to go for a nice date, celebrate an occasion, or get a nice meal with some friends or family.

I was a little concerned due to the recent negative reviews concerning the service but they seem to have resolved any issues as Olivia our server was excellent on a busy Saturday evening when both the patio and inside were full. You cannot prebook the patio which is a first come basis and we sat inside which doesn’t have a view of the harbor but was fine and not noisy. Food was good .. bang bang chicken really good.

The food was incredible, service was great. Overall a great experience. I would come back to eat here every time I visit Victoria.

Very nice place with great views, food is enjoyable and not bad , sushi was very fresh but mussels need a little bit more taste with the sauce But service was very bad , slow and none attentive waitress, we sat there more than 15 minutes for her to acknowledge we existed!! Food came very late and we had to ask 3 times about drinks Used to be my favourite restaurant in Victoria but I don’t know if I ever will go back

Great menu, we had the steak and seasfood platter. Also good selection for one member of our party who doesn't care for seafood or fish. Chelsea our server was incredible, very attentive and great balance of friendliness and leaving us to chat but keeping a close eye on when we might need something. Great value and the quality of the food was excellent.
